So I’ve been losing a ton of warzone games lately mostly because being a solo player sucks, but one thing I’m really seeing a lot of lately is players on my team staying in the main base doing nothing, and I mean purposely doing nothing but bashing the melee button every other minute, so the game won’t kick them for being idle. I’ve caught 1 or 2 players a game now doing this in just about every game I’ve played, it’s really, really crushing to see other players not wanting to play just so they can take the loss and get the req points. I’m not wondering why people do this because I have a pretty good idea why, but I gotta ask is this what 343 imagined warzone would be like this far after launch? Has anyone else see people doing this? you might not notice it because your probably actually playing the game.
I started to notice it on the after carnage report at first, team members with straight zeros across the board, I was like, what? how? then went into theater mode and watched players just stand in the back of the base randomly melee every bit or so. It’s a bummer people are doing this.
That’s stupid…because they should be doing it in Warzone Assault instead. Much faster point acquisition.
Sometimes this game gets frustrating and players want to sit and protest their anger. I am totally against what the players are doing, but maybe we should consider giving players more things to do in warzone rather then the same things over and over again.
For instance, maybe in the base there is a hologram of the map that shows were everything is, and those players can give commands to alert other players of what’s going on.
Report them, and move on. If they do it habitually they will get banned.

This would be more valid if they never ‘chose’ to do Warzone in the first place. They know what they are signing up for so they should be playing it the way it was intended to be played.
Can’t say i’ve seen that. Had one guy using carbines to write on the walls, kept spartan charging him to piss him off.

Lol. Was he writing Caboose?
I notice this in assault almost every game I play solo. The other thing I see a lot of now is someone getting a single assist or kill at the start of the game, and then idling for the rest of it. Recently I’ve lost a bunch of games where a number of people on my team did this. At this point if you do either of those I report for cheating and move on. It just sucks when they turn up in one of my subsequent games doing the same thing.
I’ve noticed the same thing. Half the team in Base playing around. In the games your getting steam rolled I really don’t blame them but when the score is close and their playing around at the back of the map with tanks and wraiths that could turn the game it pisses you off.
I think another thing we have to remember is that’s school’s out now and all the kids are playing.
Should we report them for “cheating” though? Its not cheating to me its more like giving up. Hell if they were cheating at least they’d be trying to win albeit against the rules.
I don’t mind losing game after game its no big deal to me but when I see people just not playing for the sake of not playing it crushes me to know we could of won if they just tried.

Really? That’s hilarious
This sounds awfull, but yeah report them
sometimes i like to camp inside bases for a long time. But I think that is not cheating and I am still helping my team.
Yeah, hate them and report them. Because this isn’t a game, it’s a life-and-death struggle for supremacy over a bunch of teenagers.
Worry about yourself and less about others. Or get a Spartan Company.
Ran into a guy doing that the other day on noctus. We were winning and he wasn’t afking, he was just jumping about the core room.

This is sad,
luckily I haven’t seen this yet.

When it comes to that, I only report it if I notice it in-game. Then, I wouldn’t call it cheating. Unsporting conduct? Absolutely.
