So, one thing that I noticed a lack of in the maps launched with halo infinite was the teleporters. I remember a few maps on Halo CE at least and other maps like beaver creek having teleporters that would/could add some funny antics/strategy to the matches and vary them up a bit.
We have a few lifts and a few lift cannons (or whatever those big launching things are called) on some of the maps but no teleporters. We see some during the campaign so the asset is already created, I’d just like to see them in new maps. I miss them.
Do you guys like the teleporters or do you hate them and would rather never see them again?
Teleporters need the right map and even then they get annoying sometimes. You have to have a really special design to make it work
Oh yeah they definitely require good balancing, but they have time and are supposedly working on new maps to add, so I would like to see teleporters return.
Idk maybe I’m the only one
I got a really good idea thinking about this post. Can’t wait to try it out in forge

I mean you can say that about map design in general. The 3 Lane formula for example is really annoying and used in a few maps.
You’re really just saying the map designers need to do their job well. Which I have yet to come across a map that I can say that I love when it comes up in the loading screen.
Teleporters would be sick and I expect them to be coming. I saw them in the campaign and immediately wondered where they were in MP. Surely they’re on the way. Whether or not the map designers use them well is to be seen.

Well thing is there are great map designs that have teleporters but they don’t work.
The map has to be made around the teleporter and honestly it’s quite hard. Only some have mastered it.
There was a Halo 5 forge map that made it’s way into the 2v2 playlist. That’s a great example of teleporters done right.
Don’t get me started on Halo infnite maps. They are soo bad. I’m ganna make a post soon explaining why
But that’s pretty much what I’m saying. To make any map good with any features you need a good map designer, and like you and I have already said, they don’t seem to have good designers at the moment so teleporters or not, the maps likely just ain’t gonna end up good anyways unfortunately.
You know what gets me the most?
I used to forge/play with all the big forgers. You know what they hated the most? Weapons on walls.
If actual map makers were to go over infinites maps they would tear it to shreds. The weapons being on the wall. The grenades floating. The weapons being too close to a spawn. The wall inserts(something call of duty does). The segmented areas that are too segmented. Too many open areas. Length of map being too long. This is just the surface. Every map at its core is flawed. Mostly because if Sprint but also because it was designed around pro play. Pro play is BR. Just think about it. There are sight lines where you can look directly across the map and pop someone. It’s because no one has abilites anymore that it’s all open. They needed a way for players to engage from far. Having only Sprint create major problems. There’s so many angles I can come at this from.
They can be fun, but they also can be annoying some times knowing people these days like to camp
