I don’t believe those upper rooms are there. One side looks like it’s destroyed or damaged so I don’t see how it could be opened up. I’m OK with those rooms not being there. People camping up there use to drive me nuts. It’s just an unnecessary part of the map IMO.

Now those rooms got blocked after a little while so you couldn’t camp up there anymore. They were only in matchmaking of the start of Halo 3s life.
I am more worried about the crates they have placed around the map, and the yellow ledges on BR2 we used to jump on. It looks like they have gotten so tall you can’t jump on them anymore. It looks like 343 is restricting the player even more, by removing tons of jumps from the map.
You can thank the jetpack for the lack of jumps built in to the maps which is unfortunate. Halo2 and 3 maps are far better than Reach and 4 for this very reason… map movement.
> As well a side passage in the Overshield Hall in the walkthrough I saw it, when they disappeared into it… Whats there and how big is it?
It’s pretty large and there is a grav lift that goes up to the sword room hall. There is also a hatch in the sword room that drops you down to the ramp below it. Both of which can be easily closed up in forge and Frankie made it sound like there will be a classic version of the map I assume for Slayer Pro and possibly Legendary Slayer when it’s released.
The crates are based off of the MLG version of The Pit. They were there in that. I haven’t paid enough attention to the ledge on BR2 to know what you’re talking about. Is that the ledge that is between rocket hall and invis hall?

I know the crates are based off the MLG version which isn’t classic The Pit. They (I hope they have) should have added them later in forge.
I am aware that the Pit’s second story floor was not liked in multiplayer, but it was still part of the map that was heavily used in custom games, for infection. They could have simply blocked that off as well if they didnt want it in matchmaking. Yet it seems they didnt.

If we really can’t use those jumps, as it looks like, I blame them removing yet another skill factor by catering to the beginners.

It would be sad if the jumps are gone. Not sure that it’s due to making the game easier or simply that CA just stinks at making quality maps. I haven’t like their maps since the Blastacular pack in Halo 2.

Jetpack makes all of that irrelevant really. Yeah it was annoying to have one or two people up there, but in my past experiences, I usually would run out of ammo and not have many kills by siting up there. Or someone kills me with a sniper or rockets.
I’ve noticed that no one mebtioned the posiilty of stil being able to use that room, maybe it has a diferent look now. I know it is a long shot, but, I still hope it is useable. And the jump on BR2 should be accessible through Sprint-Crouch jumping(you can actually go further than any jump on Halo 3 with that technique).
