Something I noticed about difficulty

If you pause on the open map screen in the gameplay reveal you can see that each waypoint has the normal difficulty symbol beside it. does this mean difficultie is no longer user input and is now just a generic mission difficulty thing?

Who knows? I’ll have to take your word for it, because I really don’t feel like watching the demo again. I barely recognised the game anyway, and I wouldn’t even be surprised if missions are now Dungeons you play online.

It could be the difficulty of each section? Good question though.

I certainly hope not, I play campaign legendary all the time. I get dungeon raid vibes from that map and it is very concerning.

That’s what I was thinking. I hope not, that would be devastating. Legendary campaign is my favorite thing to play in Halo. They seem to have put some thought to balancing the weapons and enemy sandbox, so I’d like to hope that they’re not gonna do some Far Cry New Dawn/Wolfenstein Young Bloods/Destiny style health scaling, so that Legendary difficulty just means inflated health bars like it does in Halo 5 Warzone Firefight. I’m very apprehensive about the whole open world thing. If they treat it like a giant sandbox then it could be really cool, but if they do the same formulaic thing as every other open world game: watchtowers, bland side quests, grinding, then it could turn out kinda disappointing.
