I am probably late to the party because I can only play 1-2 evenings a week, but you can set a global rally point on an individual unit. So early game, you can set your rally point on a marine squad and as he runs around, your units will automatically migrate toward him as they are produced. The rally point flag just gets carried around by the unit. I stumbled on it accidently yesterday while moving my rally point to where I was massing troops and noticed they were carrying the flag with them. Anyway, maybe this isn’t news, but I am sure not everyone knows this.

I love you
Yeah, I noticed that, too. I do a Starcraft trick where you put it on your leader, so that where ever the leader is your units go.
I found this out a couple days ago, really surprised when I saw it

You don’t know what level of immersion that adds to this game, it’s not even funny!
Your leader, leads the charge, your units, follow the leader!
Brilliant!
Thanks for sharing. I wasn’t aware of this.
I noticed a flag on top of my units when I used the GRP at times. I thought it was a bug and never really thought it was anything important. I guess I can leave it on them now and see what happens lol
I assumed it came with the latest update that added advanced movement commands. It’s a nice touch. I wish they’d borrow more from Starcraft.
Wow I didn’t even realize this was a feature. This is going to help me out a lot in my playthrough’s from now on. To be honest in past games I’ve always thought it’d be nice to be able to get my units to rendezvous with a leader or follow them, well at least now I won’t have to be going back and forth between my attacking units and the ones I’ve built to issue orders. Thanks for letting us know!
So does he automatically pick up the flag or do you manually do it?
