So after playing a lot of halo 3 online the other day and going back on it’s campaign and finishing it again, i remembered how awesome that game was, and it really made me hyped to play halo 4 again. So i played a game of online on Halo 4 but realised it just didn’t feel right with all the additions, which then gave me the idea to play the campaign, except with a few personal limitations: No sprint, armour abilities, and no weapons (apart from the forerunner ones which would be nigh impossible to complete some missions without) that were from games after halo 3. I did this with a friend and i realised that i had a much more enjoyable experience, and kind of makes me want to see these features out of Halo 5. i really recommend trying this, as i thoroughly enjoyed the re-simplified campaign of a good Halo game. No post halo 3 weapons aren’t essential, but i felt it just flowed better from having played halo 3, and is more fun with a friend. Just something to try if you’re bored
Placing random limitations on yourself can be pretty fun, but for the actual champaign to be stripped like that? I’m not gonna lie, that sounds horrible.
eh fair enough, each to their own, i know people who liked a lot of the changes in halo 4 like them in the campaign but i’m ‘that guy’ who thought the original 3 halos got the pacing of combat just perfect and thought the additions in halo 4 changed it into something a bit too unfamiliar but if you like or prefer it with those changes 343 made, more power to you!
I only sprint out of necessity in the campaign. I like the feeling of strolling into a mysterious Forerunner structure and admiring it, just like I did in Combat Evolved. Sprint is only used when I’m about to die or Contana yells at me about deactivating a beam that’s blocking Infinity’s signal. Then I give a little hustle.
yeah thats why i like it, it slows things up instead of just sprinting to your next objective, unless its something you need to go faster for like that
