I am guessing that most of you are not into sports, but last night during the NBA Finals, a Halo 4 trailer was shown. The past 3 years in a row, they have done the same thing. The NBA Finals show a sneak peek into the most anticipated game of the year. The past 3 years in a row, that spot has been reserved for MW2, Black Ops, and MW3.
I just wanted to let you all know that Halo has taken that spot from COD.
I thought that was pretty cool.
So? That spot goes to ever has the most money. I’m sure Microsoft had plenty of money, even before Halo 4 with CoD that was shared across multiple platforms.
they also showed it during the ennglnd and france game on monday in the UK and Ireland

Just saying that Halo 4 is about to start a new golden age for Halo like the 2001-2007 one. The Reach-ODST-Wars era weren’t excited as the trilogy era.
If Halo 4 receives the same marketing treatment as Halo 3 then the golden age won’t be far away

That “Golden Age” won’t be happening as Halo now has some serious competition around. Even when Halo3 came out, it was quickly taken over by CoD4.

True that,but Halo3 was still pretty popular.
Anyhow,you might never know…Halo 4 has some pretty cool unrevealed stuff,and is the game is extremely good it just might do some damage to COD like BF3 did…You know,steal some fans,be an overall better game,that sort of deal…We just have to wat until November to find out.

In fact, CoD 4 didn’t get more popular. MW2 was the first non-Halo title to be on top of the Xbox Live charts for extended periods of time. While CoD 4 most likely held the top place for the first month it was still new, it didn’t last far longer.
However, I agree that there won’t be another golden age for Halo, not unless Halo does something actually innovative and original. Which doesn’t seem to be doing at the moment.

They did the same with the england vs france football game on ITV.

THIS. Plus MW2 came out two years AFTER Halo 3. Just proves that Halo 3 was better.

Halo 4 will sell well because some of CoD is in the game. I mean weapons drops, classes, earning weapons. All sound familiar?
