Something 343i missed out on big time with CEA maps.

I understand that most of the reason they did this how they did was for the nostalgic factor but 343 and CA really missed out on making awesome versions of the previous maps. You may be asking what the -_- am I asking.

It has to do with remaking the maps to stay true to the original theme. If you still have no idea what I’m talking about watch this video from 1:23-1:32.

The unique map designs looked amazing. Every single time I watch that video I just think… “WHY??? didn’t we go with these unique themes”.

Does anyone else think that if their are remakes in Halo 4 their should be new unique themes to them?

And if anyone from 343 sees this can we please get some of the other concept art pieces? I’m just curious on what else we are missing out on.

I also don’t like the “2 versions of each map thing”. Battle Canyon and Ridgeline are the only maps I can instantly realize which version they are. All the other maps have crazy routes that really don’t need to be their and extra grav lifts all over the place. Stick with one version because it’s very confusing have a couple varients.

The whole point of the Anniversary maps was for nostalgia and being able to remember the old days. Having a different art design would kinda go against that. If they’re just remaking the map though not as part of something like Anniversary, there’s a liklihood that they’ll go with a different art style, unless the style is part of the maps unique design.
