that does not state how you progress through the ranks, how you progress through the ranks could be entirely based off of true skill making it a competitive ranking system …
Its a EP type of system. For every rank up u get some Spartan Points and then u can buy stuff.

It’s still very possible to have an MLG and Classic playlist that allows players to still earn Spartan Points.
The SPs of course would be useless in those playlists beyond visual modifications to avatars, but that’s ok because in this “1-50” playlist(s) the useless stuff is unwanted.

Did you read the leaks, there is no way there going in the skill/competitive direction? I wouldn’t be surprised if we were assigned a random number instead of our gamertag when we played matchmaking in order to hide our identity
