Someone please explain what's up with skins

So what the heck is going on with all these different skins I’m seeing??? I thought the point of 343 releasing only one special edition was to cut down on confusion like this, so if you pre order a regular copie of halo4 from one of these different places you get that skin, but if you pre order LE do you get all the skins?? What the heck is going on please someone explain to me.

Limited edition comes with one skin and one skin only. If you pre order the limited edition from one of those stores you get the limited edition skin and the store exclusive skin. No more, no less.

That is the -Yoinking!- stupidest thing ever, thanks a lot 343 now my OCD is going to be raging when the game comes out.

They’re going above and beyond the call.

Actually it comes with six specializations. As specializations are either armor abilities or armor customization (not armor pieces,) it’s possible that we could get six different “skins.” On top of this we get the unique skin found only in the Limited Edition, as well as the skin for the MA5D.

^^^^THIS^^^^

Microsoft wants free money from stupid retailers to have special Halo preorder crap, they tell 343 to make it happen, which 343 does because they are tools, and in doing so they effectively make purchasing the game more confusing for normal customers and lock out content for people paying just as much money.

They’re cosmetic additions to a video game. Theres no need to get stressed out and acquire every last thing. Were this, say, exclusive weaponry, then its an issue. Pick one skin or no skin and move on.

Besides, half of them look stupid.

That’s a whole mess of opinions, Flyinpenguin. Hard to believe you took the time to type all that out just to be a downer.
