Prometheans and foreruners arent the same thing right?
Some halo lore dude plz explain me I am confused. And the precursors?
Prometheans are Forerunner warriors, some of the Knights got composed. Same with some humans got composed to make Knights. Most of the them like Crawlers, Watchers, Soldiers, Sentinels are just AI drones.
Yea Forerunners are organic and Prometheans are there AI soldiers. Knights are composed forerunners and humans which just means their minds were turned into AI’s.
Precursors are the predecessors to the Forerunners. Think of it as the Forerunners… to the Forerunners. And they technically are also the Flood, but that is a different story altogether.

Here is the Halopedia article on the Precursors. Read up on it. That is how you will find out. It is honestly too difficult and time consuming for me to explain it.

I’ll try to explain it quickly.
Towards the end of the Precursor-Forerunner war, the remaining Precursors traveled outside the galaxy, away from the Forerunners, while there, they started to think in ways to “preserve” their species while at the same time, planning a counterattack on the Forerunners, eventually, the Precursors managed to convert themselves into some kind of “dust”, this dust was put into many cilinders, and sent out to our galaxy. Then, these cilinders were eventually found by pre-historic humans (which had a technological level almost on par with the forerunners), these humans found out that feeding the dust inside to domestic creatures made them work harder and more actively, however, as the dust remained locked for many, many years, it became corrupted, and after some time, the creatures (called Pheru), started to mutate into savage beasts. This was the beginning of the Flood infection.
Go to Halopedia homie. From there you’ll find everything you need to know on the Halo lore. Tons of very interesting stuff. Whenever I read it on my phone I have to turn it away from my nosey wife that way she doesn’t know how much of a nerd I really am.
