I understand a lot of players in the community are now competitive, mostly because Halo 5: Guardians focuses more on the younger audiences who are nothing but that, and that’s alright. However, not everyone is competitive and wants to hear you say “git gud” all the time or be harassed for their K/D ratio.
Some people have lives, family, education, and jobs. Not everyone has time to play Halo for hours at a time and become a master at Arena playlists or have fantastic stats.
I mean my stats aren’t perfect, but they’re not bad, and I don’t care enough about it enough to tear someone a new -yoink- for having a worse K/D.
Some people come on just for a little while to have fun and screw around with their friends and not be stat flamed.
Does anyone else feel that way?
I agree. But its a small bit funny when you see someone rocking a -0.0 K/D.
Also H5 is more based on competitive. H4 was based more for younger, or casual audiences.

That is funny, but it’s not like I’m gonna just hate on them for it, haha.
In terms of younger audiences, Halo 5 is a bit faster paced and has so much more competition to it that many younger audiences also come to the game to play. That’s just evolution of Esports though. I’ve found many younger audiences in that general age range of 15-19 are the ones who do a large dent of ‘git gud’ spam on the forums and in my Xbox messages from time to time.
Not sure why you are implying that people with families, jobs, educations, and careers can’t enjoy competitive Halo and/or be concerned about their stats. I mean, I have a 6 month old daughter, have a bachelor’s degree, and am in the Marine Corps, and I am a competitive Halo player who is very concerned about his stats lol.
But I see what you’re saying all the same. It’s simple, if you don’t care for stats or a competitive nature the best thing you can do is ignore them. I used to be one of those trash talkers. Trust me, ignoring them hurts worse than any retort.
I do wish Halo 5 had more social options than just warzone. At least Firefight is coming soon.

Congratulations on the birth of your daughter. Being a dad is one of the most enjoyable things I have ever done.

That’s awesome being in the marines and having a baby daughter.
Also, I’m not implying that everyone can’t enjoy competition, but some people do have those things in their life and simply don’t want to have to care so much about it when they actually have time to play.
I agree on the social options as well. I miss the old social playlists and and casual playlists. I know many people will just say “go back to MCC” or an older Halo game, but there is no reason Halo 5 cannot have social playlists. If anything, the game would benefit greatly with the Spartan abilities in those playlists. I can think of a ton of playlists off the top of my head that would just be amazing with the newer features.
