This happens a lot with heavy vehicles. If 2 people make the “last shot” before the vehicle explodes then the game thinks they both got the kill. As you saw in the kill feed the Spartan laser killed one of them and your needle happened to hit at the same time and gave the other kill to you. While still recognizing that the laser was the tool of destruction.

I often see this with BRs after a laser shot to scorpions, but wraiths qualify too.

I received a Splaser with a DMR on a tank.

Yup as have I with what I said earlier. All weapons can do this if timed right with a laser shot.
Personally I find it annoying when getting the Splazer commendation when people are sharing my laser kills.

I welcome any Splazer commendations I can get!!!

This is a pretty common bug in the game. It has been around since the beginning. I have used it to get several tank/wraith kills in my day. Pretty handy for those not wanting to use a REQ for a splaser.
