I have honestly always been pretty good at halo. But for some reason I am struggling to keep a k/d above a 1.2 I’m used to around a 2.0 in halo. Do I just suck now? Or what?
Welcome to the sucking club.
Yup. It’s called growing up and working a job that doesn’t allow you to play like you did in your younger years.
Hahaha, had been asking similar questions… But from day one I’ve felt the aiming on this game off… I’ve played halo long enough to know when I’m playing bad in comparison to when there is some sort of problem with the game. I came across this, could it be this?
Aim acceleration and dead zones? I definitely feel this going on right now… Aiming is not as smooth as previous titles.
check it out… I know it’s affecting my efficiency at aiming

Lol yeah this probably has a lot to do with it
Same here, I don’t know how to explain it. My whole team has been struggling in Halo 5, even though we’ve always been great at any Halo. But it’s actually the opposite for people, that I know, who used to be just average at the older Halo games. Now in Halo 5 they’re freaking monsters. It’s like an opposite world.

There is less aim assist, makes the game require more skill.
Do people still not know about the massive reduction in aim assist? I love it. I’ve always played with aim assist off so this is nothing new to me, fun destroying all these people who are so used to it.

Yes I do know this. And I actually like less aim assist. That’s not the issue. Something just seems off
Your profile says you should be at 1.2

Yeah I think that’s where I’m around right now

I think its the scopes. It just doesn’t feel the same for me. In COD, its so easy. In the older Halos it was really easy as well. It feels like a different game.
I love the less aim assist, the wonkyness could be fixed though. Kinda got used to it though
Same issue here. Used to have K:D Ratio for about 2-3 and up on the long run, even had twink account with +20 ratio.
Can think of 2 things
- 1 Radar: huge impact on my playstyle, yet way too many backstab / shoulderdash from the hallway i looked in 2 sec ago
- 2 Aiming is totaly different
My muscle brai memory -Yoink- that have been trained for all those year… (would be like forcing normal ppl to play invert and vice-versa)
edit: way to many “jump - smash” that never went out (trying not to do it but normaly resulting into a death anyway cause i’m forcing myself to overcome a glitch in game by doing something else i’d do to kill my opponent
Got to get used to the lesser amounts of aim assist and bullet magnetism.
I have the same ussue.
I’m sure everyone’s average is around 1.2- 1.3
I struggled at first. I started adjusting my controller layout, sensitivity, and button mapping, and that all seemed to help.
