some thoughts

Have any of you ever stopped and realised what is happening? (IF YOU GUYS DON’T PLAY
COD DONT EVEN READ THIS.) Wether it’s cod , halo or most other things, it seems that the games get worse. After CoD: WaW people started complaining alot, in MW2 people always complained about the noob tubes , the commando perk , ump 45 being overpowered , and one man army with explosives. Black ops came out, was new and people complained because it was new with the CoD points and stuff. Then MW3 comes out, they fixed everything wrong with mw2 (noobtubes, commando, OMA) and people complained about how it was NOTHING NEW from mw2.

Now with halo. so far people havn’t ranted about halo much (halo 1-3)
Then on Halo Reach it started. “armor locking sux” “This map is Sh*t” “omg my sword didn’t kill him”
and on and on.It wasn’t too bad though, TU came out and fixed AL and sword blocks. But now i already see ranting on halo 4 and it’s not even -Yoinking!- out! “it looks like reach with a BR” soon it’s going to spread to the halo community.

And now my point of the thread, do you really think the games are getting worse? or are us,the community, getting greedier. I personally can’t wait to get Halo 4 even if it is halo reach with BR.

Discuss

Thank you. Finally someone understands

I really think games are just getting worse. But it’s the communities fault, but not because of greed.

I mean think about it. What are some of the best games out there? The old ones, and not just because of nostalgia. They really were good. And that was because they were hard to get good at. Think of Golden Eye, one of the pioneering games for FPS’s. Everyone had fun playing it, but people who were good really stood out. I remember first playing H:CE and being absolutely HORRIBLE. But I still had a blast.

But now us the community has become little wusses who don’t want things to be very hard. The developers have know this so they cater to this new generation of gamers (as they should business-wise). They don’t make the games super easy, but they have definitely narrowed the skill gap. Which by makes games worse.

Halo 3 lasted me quite a while and i still play it because of its ranking system. To get XP, you had to win a game, and to win, you needed teamwork. That is what halo should be like. and the fact it wasn’t like only 100 xp from general grade 3 to grade 4 is why it lasted long. it takes thousands of xp to rank up when your in the higher ranks. Also the fact it was just so simple. no armor abilities, health bars, etc. made it addicting to me.

EDIT: i understand your reason

Gamers are getting lazy these days and everything has to be easy for them if they want to be happy. I find the reason that why many young gamers don’t go on battlefield is the fact that you have to play tactically. Not CoD where you can run out in the open and kill the whole enemy team. In battlefield, you stick your head out of cover, you’re done.
