Lighting looked flat. Very poor in my opinion. Texture quality, model quality, all of that was good, besides weapons looking a bit too clean. Enemy designs are great. Gadgets are a great comeback. Gameplay looks fine, but I hope to God there’s dual wielding and that it was purposefully cut from the demo. Story is confusing to old fans, at least from what we’ve seen. My biggest gripe is the new shotgun. PLEASE don’t tell me that’s a replacement for the classic shotgun. I want my tritium sight pump action 8-gauge, not some generic mag-fed shotgun. I do like the weapon variety though. The Banished (red/silver aesthetic) in general needs more detail, it’s too flat and blocky. All in all, not too bad. Hopefully this isn’t entirely representative of what we’ll see in a few months at launch, and there’ll be some touchups where needed.
Hard to say that story is confusing, the demo is set way into the campaign as stated in the latest blog.
The game of course is a work in progress too, things will change. I do agree the lighting lacked any kind of flair. Hopefully when Ray Tracing is added into the game it’ll help buff it up to par

Your not alone, seriously… but don’t ever expect this to come back. It’s one of those things that we will probably never see again due to people not liking how balancing it works.
