In halo reach i dont remenber in halo 3 but in halo reach u could cancel ur beatdown and replace it with a granade u kept the launch from the beat donw to get a sticky on a player it was more of a fake can u bring that back??? Atleast that ?

While they are at it, they can bring back…

Assassinations
Loadouts
Customization
Plasma pistol
Plasma grenades
Visual effects and many other things as their former self.

Then maybe Infinite will kind of feel like a game instead of whatever this is now.

Yeah, I don’t know what happened with the effects in this game but it’s just wrong. Even the armor effects look really weird and what’s up with the skull?

There was way too many unnecessary changes in infinite that I don’t even know how they found what they did acceptable.

Oooh man! Grenade jumps, yeah! I was feeling there was something else wrong with the grenades (apart from the 4 or 5 things already mentioned before) and you’ve just said it.

Although… which grenade jump do you mean exactly? :stuck_out_tongue: You jumping higher by throwing a grenade at your feet or… the grenade “jumping” when hit by another grenade (and exploding high above the ground)? Not that it matters - I think you can’t do either of these anymore haha

The armor effects when almost killing someone is new in this Halo ?
I think this is a big distraction, making it harder to get the last shots.

I don’t care for Assassinations but there is one very annoying thing that Infinite has which is ruining the game, and that is any thrown grenades that you have thrown out and not exploded prior to dying will despawn immediately the moment you die.

That’s just trash and bs.

I haven’t played in a while but I was like where the hell is the “from the grave”?

As many can see, there was way too many changes that never needed to take place and I can’t help but think what heck was 343 thinking changing everything they did. The hard part to understand about all this is knowing they had since Halo 4. I’m really lost on this one…

Armor effects should only take place after you kill someone, like Halo Reach armor effects that Bungie took the time to make them look decent. Halo Reach is over a decade ago and whoever worked on infinite effects shouldn’t have ever been assigned to design them. Anyone can see they didn’t know what they were doing.

Have you seen the flames on the shoulder pads of a player when they start little introduction before a match starts? The quality work for being 2022 has majorly gone down hill that it bother the hell out of me that things are this bad knowing all the resources they have. Infinite needs an overhaul with a studio willing to take the time to adjust a lot of things to improve the experience. Imo playing a Halo game it’s the details players pay attention to , and that is what Bungie was paying attention to and why the experience was enjoyable playing Halo games. Today’s Halo is about the worthless shop and that alone is just wrong in so many ways.

Sound effects and visual effects are very important in any game, and when the quality of it is low, players will lose interest in playing a game in spite of the gameplay like infinite, but what makes things harder for Halo fans with the effects being designed wrong, they also have to deal with 75% of the game that is still missing and it’s going on a year.

Did you just advocate for loadouts being put in Halo again? Whole point of Halo is that it DOESNT have loadouts. Even starts all around (except fiesta obviously).

You mean what you believe, and what 343 chose.

Mind you, you might want to look back at history because loadouts have been a thing since Halo Reach. Infinite is nothing like the original Halo’s , and it’s 2022, not 2001.

Oh, and before anyone suggest that infinite is, you would be incorrect. The original Halo’s didn’t have…

Loadouts have been in 2 of the 8 main Halo games (Reach and 4). They weren’t in 1-3, ODST or 5. And Halo is an arena shooter. The main trait of an arena shooter is that everyone has the exact same starts and you have to scavenge for weapons, equipment, etc. on the map. Most people will agree that loadouts don’t work in Halo.

And Infinite is much closer to the original Halos than 4 and 5. In gameplay and art style it very closely resembles Halo 3 but with some modern evolutions.

Sprint is not a problem in Infinite like it was in Reach-5 seeing as it makes a very small impact on movement speed and is instead mainly intended as a gateway to movement combinations involving jump and slide.

Assassinations aren’t in Infinite so I don’t know why you mentioned that.

Also in another comment you mentioned from the grave not being in the game anymore. Just FYI that is still definitely in the game, I think there is just a glitch where sometimes grenades you have thrown don’t work if you die.

What you’re asking for is more akin to an input glitch. Something 343i has done it’s very best to try and eliminate. So asking for that to return is like asking for the BRX to return. Which is not happening… on purpose that is.

Not to mention that specific glitch was during the Bungie days. We are far past those times. The more I think about it the more it kinda seems to function similarly to Sword Launching in H2. Use the melee to start the lunge and then cancel into something else. Sure it doesn’t do the same, but It does something similar.

Yeah, I hate that. They have to be like, loose from your hand completely, otherwise you’re not chucking that grenade at all.
