Ok, you changed a lot of things without telling me (the shielding system, the radar…) but I can let that slide. Killing someone is easier, but the sensitivity is way too slow. The spawns are terrible, but that is due to the maps being so small. Look, 343, one thing I liked about the halo series (and I GREW UP with halo) was the sense of openness. It was a surprise when you found an enemy spartan sometimes. You would traverse these HUGE monstrous (and beautiful) maps. Don’t get me wrong, halo has its short maps, but not nothing too bad (more like medium size compared to halo 's maps) I just would have thought that with all these new (and down right COOL) movement abilities like jets and clambering would just fit really well with bigger maps, but there isn’t any to do this. I am not FORCING you to make bigger maps (but you know…c’mon, I want some warthog sized levels if you know what I mean XD) but here is a list of maps you could either get pointers from, or remake entirely from previous halo games:
Last Resort
Blood Gulch
Valhalla
SandTrap (or box)
High Ground (HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!)
Epitaph (would be cool to see this remade as a cool forrunner fortress or something)
Long Shore
Avalanche (this could also be a really cool warzone map)
Blackout (cause it is just a CLASSIC)
The pit
Standoff (Also highly recommend)
and many, many more.
Now I don’t really think Warzone is an excuse to make multiplayer maps smaller, with only a few (or one) power weapons. Have Snipers spawn more regularly in these maps. Have some vehicles. Even when Warzone was in halo reach they still had vehicles and bigger maps in regular multiplayer.
How would remakes make this NEW game better and not dull?
New game should = new content. Enough with the rehashed maps we played to death already. Time for new stuff. Leave that recycled garbage to forge.
I never said they HAD to remake them, just get inspiration for them. I understand New game=new content, but it doesn’t hurt to have some more diverse, and possibly familiar, maps. I have played this game sense launch and the maps still feel confusing, they don’t flow well. I also don’t think “Save it for forge” is an actually fair excuse for the lack of big maps. I just think there could be something done to help a lot of problem players are experiencing.
There is a lot of unchangeable gripes so I’ll keep it simple. I would like a more refined match-making lobby system. Would love to show off my spartan’s stance, armor, armor completion, etc. Also, a population counter would be appreciated.
Also, I would like to add, how about more really cool objective game modes. How about like, griffball DUNK or something. Where gravity is SUPER low and the only way to score the ball is by spartan dunking into the goal, all these new mechanics, just do something to integrate them into the game as a newer fun way to play the game with objectives.
