Maybe it was just a mistake, something exclusive to devs/343i and they used the pic since it looked awesome.
Then again, a Spartan Ops demo mission would be a great way to sell Halo 4, spartan ops is after all a somewhat unique new feature, one can play it without spoiling campaign, without the need for MM servers, and it can be played many times without getting boring (unlike 1 short campaign mission).
It might just be a way to promote Halo or Microsoft is just using it as a place holder maybe. Aside from that I do not believe there has been a confirmation of a demo…yet.

Agreed. 15 minutes is a reasonable amount of time for a demo. Of course, the featured mission should not be like the Reach demo’s choice. LNoS’ mission start was an atrocity. Too short and the space battle did not compensate. How disappointing to finally come across an energy sword but have no victim to use it on.
