Let me preface this by saying H5’s soundtrack is shaping up to be second to the best soundtrack in the series: Halo 2 (IMO). I absolutely adore where the musical direction is headed (cinematic), with the more pronounced focus on themes of yore. But there are certain songs/themes which the new direction cannot and probably will not accommodate. While this particular point is not a deal breaker for me and is rather minor, I still can’t help and feel a tad somber that these songs are likely to not return, so I’m gonna pay a sort of homage to them here:

By the way I’m curios which music will return, of course with some “update”. 117 is tottaly will come back, since at least 2 vidoc videos we can hear it, and it sounds nice. I hope that Never Forget would retunt too. To me tha Halo 4 version is the best.
Finally I going to share 1-1 music from the fist triology, that I like. Halo Combat Evolved - Dust and Echoes Halo 2 - Sacred Icon Suite (In that music which I especially like that you can feel the loneliness, and the mystery from 2:22-3:35, and then from 6:47 'till the end of the music) Halo 3 - Wake me when you need me
Halo 5 has a good chance to get great music. If you listen the the new soundtrack than you will find the beautiful sad parts (the first 4 min), and the mysterious parts,(9:42-10:35) that always belonged to the Halo Universe.
My fav are H3’s soundtracks and I see what you mean, I love this kind of style, but this isn’t clearly a style that would fit H5, but it’s gonna have for sure a great Soundtrack!
