#1 - The magnum. I found this weapon already very powerful in the beta but now since its been buffed and the assault rifle was nerfed, I’m slightly nervous that it will completely outclass the AR and it will be like halo reach where not using the magnum was only hurting yourself. Especially in RUL videos, he never uses the AR, only the pistol and sometimes keeps the pistol over a BR or DMR.
#2 - EXP boosts in REQs - Very concerned that when you open reqs, at some point you will begin to get packs that are 50% or more exp boosts, which lets face it, are the worst possible thing you can get.
#3 - Ground pound - The change that allows ground pound to be used at any height has me worried that people will be able to easily abuse it.
#4 - Bullet Magnetism - In some videos, you can see bullets hitting when the reticule is clearly not on the target and this was also present in the beta and a huge problem in Halo 4. However there are also videos that show no bullet magnetism and accurate misses that aren’t hitting.
#5 - Assassinations being cancelled by Spartan charge - In my experience, most assassinations involve you sprinting to catch up and then assassinate them, but with Spartan charge, I’m worried that you will just charge and get a beat down. This will make assassinations much harder to accomplish in my view as you will have to watch out for your sprint and also take the extra time and focus to stop sprinting before meleeing.

Thats some BS though, the SMG is for short range. Assault rifles are by definition meant to be medium range weapons. That’s why the world rifle is there. We are gonna end up with the same situation as Halo 3 where you just want to ditch the AR quickly after you spawn. You couldn’t kill a darn thing with the AR in Halo 3.

The Ar is strong at close range and is easier to shoot THAN the magnum.
I wasn’t talking about the Ar in general nor compared to the SMG.

I’m not sure what you are saying with #2

That may be, but it needs to be not overdone. Id rather me miss my shots then get kills around corners

See but now you are saying the magnum requires more skill so it should be better, but what about someone is killed with the ar but now they are considered second class to any magnum user
1 The magnum is powerful but I don’t think its above the AR in the Beta I used the magnum mostly to finish some one off.
2 I’m sure majority of the req cards in a pack will always be weapons for warzone or armor.
3 You can ground pound at any height but the damage will not be the same the closer to the ground you are the weaker the ground pound is.
4 I never had a problem with what people call Bullet Magnetism manly because if some has a BR and shooting at you just because you not in reticule doesn’t mean you have evaded all the bullets. Bullets when fired can tray a little from where your aiming that just happened to be the same way the enemy was moving it adds a small amount of realism to the game.
5 I don’t really care because I never assassinated that much but I can see what you mean they gave us the option to pick our animation then made it harder to do it. Again it doesn’t bother me that much a Spartan charge from behind instant kills so I’m cool

Your SR or Spartan rank is most easily seen in halo 4. You get exp for finishing games and level up. At the end of the day it really only shows what you are able to access from gear that needs a certain level and how much time you have put into pvp. Your CSR or competitive skill ranking, goes up or down based on your wins/losses of games.

Exactly! The Ar is geared more towards casual players for a variety of reasons (auto fire, body shots, etc) while the magnum is geared more towards skilled players. New halo players may find the Ar more valuable while experienced players will switch to the magnum.

but it had a huge recoil reduction and a range buff
its way more accurate

I know but I’m saying I don’t want to be receiving 5+ exp boosts in req packs when I would prefer weapons or armor
RuL doesn’t use the AR because he’s the kind of player that only ever uses precision weapons; it’s personal preference. As an AR user, I’m not worried.
I am kind of worried a little about how strong the magnum is but I’m confident that they have tested it enough to have it balanced. And I do hope bullet magnetism isn’t too high but it has its place for sure. Don’t worry about the req cards though because there are certifications and things like that to up the chance of getting certain cards. And about the assassinations, I never noticed it until you said something about it. I will most likely have mine off unless I am playing warzone but I mean there are plenty of times where you won’t be sprinting or wont have to sprint to get one. Plus you can slide or stop or do some other technique if you just have to have that one assassination.

Exactly why they need to stop being fools and just do BR starts.
