The sniper reticule, I mean come on ITS HUGE.
-
The warthog turret reticule is a bit screwed up, could have been thicker.
-
Human blood splatters. They seem to be glitched so that they are in permanent darkness. hope they can fix this.
-
The flood elite combat forms are white not blue?
-
Also the night vision scope is waaaaayyyyyy to bright
none of this are game breakers, but I figured it’d make a list of some of the most annoying bugs
> - The sniper reticule, I mean come on ITS HUGE.
Can’t say I’ve noticed.
> - The warthog turret reticule is a bit screwed up, could have been thicker.
Again, didn’t realy notice this.
> - Human blood splatters. They seem to be glitched so that they are in permanent darkness. hope they can fix this.
Not sure I get what you are saying. That the blood spatter is too dark?
> - The flood elite combat forms are white not blue?
To be honest, I would put that down to Flood Rust.
Maybe the flesh of the Flood strippes the colour from the metal, just like water makes metal rusty on earth.
Combine that with the fact that nobody realy knows what kind of metal the Sangheli’s armour is made of, it could have any kind of weathering properties.
> none of this are game breakers, but I figured it’d make a list of some of the most annoying bugs
do some compares with the reticules and maybe you might see what I mean.
As for the blood, its black but when you turn youre light on and aim it at human blood it turns red.
Well human blood is quite dark.
Kinda like this
Except the human blood is always dark.
A few other issues…needless to say, I played 7 hours straight, dropped all my studies and priorities to kick back for this one…
Amazing remake, amazing redone weopen sound effects, BUT.
-
Switching back and forth from classic to remastered and vise versa, caused the game to crash once and almost again few hours later. (was using kinect for this feature; maybe contributed to some sort of back log of info)
-
I am a bit confused/aggitated how much the graphics were scaled back in classic. If any of you throw in halo (preferably in the old xbox so the screen sized isn’t messed up,(my issue)) the layout was alot better, the illuminated shield doors looked better, the doors looked better as well as some of the floors of control room and T&R outskirt view looked not as -Yoink-…yes picky, point is the graphics were scaled back alot, enough so to give new comers the impression that the old game was crappier in the visual section then it really was.
-
The foggy floors at certain points is not a biggie considering the scale of graphics shoved in to this thing…no where as near as bad as halo 2 skin loading, in game and cutscene
-
All of which is stated above is just a nudge to community that does go way back to the roots of the first game, it isn’t a game breaker whatsover, just feel it could of done without it being so pronounced
-
BUT the following was a pain in the -Yoink!-, when trying to snipe or cross map rocket strike an enemy…the invisible graphics layer of the trees and foliage would stop the bullet in its tracks…and if you were not a fair distance away from these invisible objects (classic layers) you would most likley be firing off a rocket and blowing yourself up
that or frying away your shields.
-
Damage on enemies in certain situations was choppy, ie, your getting attacked from all sides by the flood (most common occurance of the damage glitch) and you fire off a rocket right beside the enemy and nothing happens…mind you this run was on normal difficulty.
-
Thee other tie downs, were as stated above by other members, yes the sniper reticle is super sized…: / but the sounds and look of the gun compensates. Lip syncing…what lip syncing
And other then that…
This game is in my opinion with the HD makeover, better then any halo game created, halo reach comes very close, but being part of the few that really dug into the original, this is all it needed, side note, kinect is a cherry on the cake, even if you dont have enough room, the voice features add a bit of touch when one is a completist (scanning/analyzing objects) negligible lag, nothing that will piss you off unless you’re a COD player that starts his day with a line of coke :P. The lack of armour abilities is also not a big deal, if you’re a fan of the first, sides…the abilities wouldn’t fit the campaign gameplay style of the past. Buy the game if you haven’t, the graphics are even better then that of halo reach, it’s steal for 40 bucks…and all of which I stated above is the thoughts and opinions of the very picky, detail analyzing OCD chump, I don’t get to play games as much as I used before college but this game def deserved some time aside from my daily routine.
Has anyone else been having issues with controller sensitivity? Or with the game randomly changing settings and turning on 3D mode?
