Hey there. I wanted to make this topic for everyone out there who, like me, felt like something was off with this game’s aiming. That’s because the aiming mechanics were changed to compensate for this game’s drastically reduced aim assist. That’s fine and all, but options are always nice, and until the latest update, we didn’t have many. So, if you want the aiming to feel like the old games, here’s what you do. Go to the controller settings and select Look Sensitivity, and it will create a drop-down menu for horizontal and vertical sensitivity. Set BOTH to whatever sensitivity you used in the previous games (3, 4, 5, etc.). Now, go to Look Acceleration and set it to 1. And that’s it. Now your aiming will feel exactly like it did in the previous games. It will probably take a few matches to adjust, but in my opinion, it’s worth it.
Actually, to achieve a sensitivity like that of previous Halo games you need both horizontal and vertical sensitivity to be half of the value it was before. So a 3 sensitivity would be 1.5 for both. If you make both 3 it will be much faster than a 3 in previous games.
1.5 for both feels way more sluggish than 3 in the old games. Heck, just having 1.5 for horizontal for the standard 3 setting feels sluggish to me.
I use 4 sensitivity 5 acceleration. Turning is way too slow with anything less.
4 -2 this all
