Some Problems with Halo 5 Multiplayer

These are just a list of annoyances I have with Halo 5. These are my own opinions and totally up for debate.

  1. The ghost’s guns have a miniature explosion effect. If they strike a doorway you’re standing in but doesn’t actually hit you, your screen shakes like crazy. I don’t know if it’s a glitch, but it’s really annoying
  2. BR is a bit too good in Breakout. A 2 burst kill makes the magnum vastly inferior. Then again, a 3 burst kill would make it kill too slowly. What to do, what to do. Maybe up the health so the magnum is a 4 shot and BR is a 3 shot?
  3. Arena maps are sooooo boring. I get that they’re great for arena, but they’re not memorable or fun. Just…arenas.
  4. Spawns. They can get bad on some of the faster paced game modes, as well as Warzone.
  5. Nothing “fun” to play. Every playlist, except Warzone, feels too competitive. I play a crap ton of CSGO, so I’m okay with the competitive part. What I’m not okay with is the fact that there are no other playlists. Grifball, Fiesta, Infection, Team Rockets. Shotty snipers was a good start, but we need a permament action sack playlist!
  6. Too much bullet magnetism. I really enjoy the reduction of aim assist, but it shouldn’t be replaced with bullet magnetism. If 343 wants, increase the aim assist, but most certainly decrease bullet magnetism.
  7. Aim acceleration.
  8. This is definitely my weakest point, I think that there are a bit too many grenades scattered throughout some maps in Breakout.
  9. Why are some colors different between armor sets? On the Mark VI Gen1, my color scheme looks dark grey and a deep blue, but when I switch to the Gen2, the color goes to normal grey and light blue. This really discourages mixing some armors and helmets.
  10. There’s a pretty significant delay between pressing the melee button and the actual meleeing when you’re in the air. I get that it’s for ground pounding, but the delay is way too long.
  11. I don’t know why, but it seems to be significantly easier to score headshots with the sniper rifle in this game.
  12. Warzone Assault clearly didn’t get a lot of love, which is disappointing. If the spawns were improved and things fleshed out a bit, it could very well be the next Invasion
  13. Bigger maps! Right now, shotty snipers is not well suited for any kind of map. Arena maps are just too small. We need another Valhalla or Blood Gulch for CTF and such. Can’t wait till 343 brings us forged maps into matchmaking
  14. Community Gamemodes and maps! We need those

my big issues are

  • headshot hitboxes are random - ar TTK inconsistency - melee range is way to big - Spartan charge range and knockback is too high - groundpound can be activated at any height and does the same damage at any height - frag grenades are WAY too strong (they have some kind of proximity airburst) - beatdown medal is still an assist medal - the br and dmr in breakout are absurdly OP (you can’t even react to how fast they kill you) - shotgun has too much range - frag grenades

For number one you might just be going against Ghost Ultras which do have a small aoe effect

This list could go on and on for me . . . But I still like Halo 5.
