I’m not too sure if this is the right place to be posting this; I’m not on the forums a lot. So, during some of the matches I’ve played in the Global Championship, I found a pair of guys that may have been in a party together while in the same game.
For the first game, there were these two players with the gamertags, [CLASSIFIED] & [CLASSIFIED]. Although they did not have each other on their friends lists, they had some other strange things. Their service tags were, [CLASSIFIED]. Perhaps they weren’t too similar, however, both end in z’s, so it could be worth mentioning. Not only were their service tags somewhat similar, but their emblems were the same, but different colors. Another interesting thing I discovered was that their locations (on XBL) were, A Town & B Town. At first I was convinced they knew each other, so I watched the film just to make sure this wasn’t all a coincidence. Right off the bat, in the very start of the game, one of them killed the other. Throughout the rest of the match, it seemed mainly clean of boosting - that is, if you disregard the fact that they kept killing each other very frequently. Yeah, they were doing an obvious/obnoxious method of boosting (e.g., stay in one area while the other partner feeds you kills) - but then again, is there an actual method of boosting in an FFA game in Halo? I probably wouldn’t be too annoyed, but they were both top players at the end of the match: 25 kills and 24 kills. In the carnage report, the players both killed and were killed by each other the most. If you’d like to take a look at the match yourself, you can check it out here: http://www.halowaypoint.com/en-us/games/halo4/fileshare/details/06d98ba0-3513-48ff-a8bf-4701b13ab859. Again, I’m not 100% sure if these guys knew each other or not, I just thought it seemed suspicious.
The second got me a bit more frustrated. This game, I had two players with the gamertags, [CLASSIFIED] & [CLASSIFIED]. They both seemed pretty good at the game, but again, one was in 1st with 25 and the other in 2nd with 24. Now of course this couldn’t be a coincidence (with the gamertags), so I had to make sure with their friends lists. [CLASSIFIED] was [CLASSIFIED] one friend. To me, that seemed really suspicious, especially since the guy with only one friend had, ‘[CLASSIFIED]’ in his gamertag. It didn’t seem like they encountered one another that much during the game, but at one moment, it kind of looked like they both saw each other, so they didn’t shoot. If you want to see the film yourself, you can download it here: http://www.halowaypoint.com/en-us/games/halo4/fileshare/details/447aa916-478d-4ecf-8859-5b4f6e39a90d. I couldn’t tell if they were trying to boost their GC score or what, but I thought this game was more suspicious than the first one.
Again, I’m sorry if this isn’t the correct place to post something like this, I just wanted to get this out here, and perhaps get an actual answer if these players were trying to get matched up with each other to attempt to both win.
