Okay this has been something that has been bothering me for a long while and I need to address it, I haven’t seen any other forums addressing it.
i find it very saddening to see so many people cry and rage and put down halo because it’s not like the classics. Look, the first halo came out 15 years ago! Of course the classics and when I say classics I mean CE,2 and 3. People are getting so mad because they’re not like those originals but you can’t just do that! People need to accept the fact that halo is an ever changing series!
Now im not saying that I don’t like the classics or think that halo 5 is better. But in my opinion 343 is doing things right! They took away all the armor abilities like jet pack and hologram etc… And they added a few abilities, which is great because it keeps the series fresh and exciting! I do think that halo 5 is almost as good as the originals and I say might because of the amazing memories of playing CE tournaments with my cousins at family reunions so there is a lot of nestslgis a there but I already see my self making memories playing the new ones, even halo 4, which was not bad.

Lets just say if the world was run by halo fans, we’d still be living as though it’s 1930 because they don’t like change and they refuse to move on, but we need to realize that halo is and will always be amazing, focus on the beauty of it, which is why we fell in love with it in the first place, because it is a work of art!

I’m not trying to insult everyone okay and I agree that I don’t want it to become just another game. But it actually hasn’t been turning into that and I just saying the complaining is getting out of hand and I said I agreed with some parts, like I agree that there should be playlists for classic stuff without sprint and abilities and oh well about the revenue because true fans won’t care about that and they will play it because of their love for the series. And the newness of abilities as I said keeps things fresh and I’m not saying this indefinitely but just say that they made the games exactly like the classics, then people would complain there is nothing new and the sales will be worse. And again as I said, they tried relreleases and the sales for the anniversary games were way worse then sales for halo 5. Yes you can’t remake an old game but that’s exactly what I’m saying, you can’t remake the same stuff and expect everyone to love it, but the same can be said for new stuff but at least it’s fresh and new.
Agreed. Want a “classic”? Play Halo 1, 2, or 3. Period. Personally, I won’t be surprised if Halo 5 becomes a classic in 5-6 yrs
First of all I’ll be surprised if this doesn’t get locked, calling those defenseless souls out like you are… I wholeheartedly agree with you, I want as many people as possible to play Halo but the endless bickering of “this should be this” is very tiresome.
If 343i is “doing things right”, then what’s up with that Campaign story? Retconning so many things from H4 and other inter-game material, and bringing up a new sub plot out of the blue.
Sorry, but in regards to your whole post, people with different opinions are allowed to share them. We can’t all just blindly accept every change to both gameplay, lore, and story that 343i has done.

Why do we need abilities for Spartans? Why do we need 5 pointless Reqs for each vehicle or weapon or armor who cares if my weapon is red or my warthog is blue or my armor white with an orange dot on it? We’d rather have that development go to playlists, game modes and more new weapons, maps and vehicles. Why should I either have to either pay for a weapon or unlock it by luck then skill? Fact is Halo went in the wrong direction and the sales clearly show it. Why doesn’t Microsoft boost about the amount of players and sales of Halo 5 when they did it about past Halos? How come on Halo 5s launch day they included Reqs and Xboxs sold as part of Halo 5s revenue sales when they didn’t with past Halos? Also the enhanced version of Halo CEA when it first came out didn’t include the classic CE gameplay it was 6 maps remade with Reach’s gameplay that’s a big no no.

Are you serious you 343 fans are so blind, Halo MCC sold well enough for it be broken and unplayable for 6 months and by the way it still is.

But it actually hasn’t been turning into that and I just saying the complaining is getting out of hand and I said I agreed with some parts, like I agree that there should be playlists for classic stuff without sprint and abilities and oh well about the revenue because true fans won’t care about that and they will play it because of their love for the series. And the newness of abilities as I said keeps things fresh and I’m not saying this indefinitely but just say that they made the games exactly like the classics, then people would complain there is nothing new and the sales will be worse. And again as I said, they tried relreleases and the sales for the anniversary games were way worse then sales for halo 5. Yes you can’t remake an old game but that’s exactly what I’m saying, you can’t remake the same stuff and expect everyone to love it, but the same can be said for new stuff but at least it’s fresh and new.
It really doesn’t matter to me anymore. Out of all the books that came out recently after the Forerunner Trilogy, I only liked Broken Circle. I haven’t really liked any of the games post Reach (and I always liked Reach, even from release so don’t try that whole “rose colored glasses” thing on me.) If 343i doesn’t pick up their game with Halo 6, then I am done with Halo forever. I do mean forever, because I don’t have the time or money to spend on a crap game.
