I hate on Halo 4 because I don’t like the all the randomness that got introduced into the series. Infinity settings and more AA’s (Thruster Pack aside, that AA is awesome) and now perks. It can all go away.
I don’t know why everybody hates on H4, it’s one of my favorite games second to Halo Reach.

Try reading the thousands of posts on this forum, it’ll give you an idea.

Inaccurate. We aren’t talking about dictionary definitions. We are talking about video game applications. Fair doesn’t mean equal.
You don’t have to have equal treatment to get fair treatment.
> How about just making Halo 5 all about coin tosses. As soon as you encounter a player a player or two, you are thrown into duel mode where it’s decided on a coin toss. No difference what weapons you got, who saw who first or what vehicle you got. There is no way at all to manipulate your chances of winning that toss, it’ll alays be 50/50.

> This is fair. Everyone got a chance to win. I bet it’ll be the most popular game ever.

> Oh wait, popular games are those where randomness is minimal and the matches are decided on skill and skill alone.
>
> Some people clearly have no idea how randomness negativley affects the game, or are they perhaps only afraid to lose the only edge they randomly get?
No. Popular games, like Halo 4 and CoD, are games that have a competitive game play no matter your skill level.
Ordinance isn’t as random as you think it is. What you don’t like about it is that it not only rewards skilled play, but it also helps those that aren’t as skilled. Sorry if you’re pissed off that you can’t dominate every game.
halo 2 pre patch was defo an unfinished game however post patch… it turned into arguably the most competitive halo game ever and easily the most competitive game on the xbox and xbox 360
> No. Popular games, like Halo 4 and CoD, are games that have a competitive game play no matter your skill level.
Like I said that competitive gameplay varies for skill levels. Halo 4 introduced randomness that directly affects the outcome of the match. It’s popularity plummeted. Your skill level doesn’t matter, the randomness is still there, and seeing as people seem to defend randomness and thinking it’s a good thing, why aren’t we playing fiesta for regular team slayer?

Really, educate me in how “not random” ordnance is then. Seeing as you think you know more about it than me. I’m not pissed at it because I can’t dominate, I’m pissed because it disrupts map balance and makes even matches not worth playing at all seeing as the game decides the winner and not the players themselves.
The randomness of ordnance is more than enough to throw a match out the window, and it has done so on several occasions, both in favour of me and in favour of my opponents. On several occasions, I’ve been able to break a spawn trap on Ragnarok because I was gifted a sniper through personal ordnance. On several occasions, the enemy have been able to kill me when I’ve chased them due to them being lucky.
I love Halo 2 its my favorite but i also like Halo 4.
I love all Halo games so far.
