Ok so I was playing Halo 4 and was half way through a game of Grifball and was called for dinner, I go and have it and I come back and I see, you have been temporarily banned from earning xp? I’m really annoyed WTF HAVE I DONE?
Did you leave the match before you left?
I think you stayed in the match when you left for dinner.
Next time, I recommend leaving the game before leaving the Xbox. It sucks, but it’s happened to a lot of us 
No why would I leave a game halfway through if i’m only going to be 10 mins? I wasn’t cheating at all, i get banned for being away? and i thought cod was bad.
Because anyone who sees a guy in a game just standing there just gives off the vibe that you’re only signed in for XP. It’s like “Oh look and AFK” BANNED!

It’s recommended to leave the game if you’re going to be away for a whole 10 minutes.

- Never go somewhere while in a game on Halo 4.
- 343 aren’t Bungie, Halo isn’t Halo anymore
I really thought I would of been kicked if I was afk for to long, but banned? Without warning, is there any way of telling when the ban will be lifted? Or do I have to shelf my limited edition Halo 4 for a while?

1. You can go somewhere while in a game on Halo 4. Just, if you’re going to be away for a long time – then it is best for you to exit out of the game. Or else you will be getting XP for being AFK which is very unfair.
There are people who play for XP and people who play for fun. From you going AFK, you are taking away from their gameplay experience as you are being rewarded XP for doing nothing in-game and your team has an AFK teammate who gives the opposing team free kills without even trying to give any team support.
2. 343 isn’t Bungie. That is fact.
“Halo isn’t Halo anymore” - that’s all based on opinion. But this is 343’s version of Halo, and if the sole reason to stop playing Halo is because you got XP banned, then you are being very immature. If you dislike Halo 4, then don’t play it and go find something you like.
There is no system to automatically kick out people who are AFK. As for when will the ban be lifted, I am not sure. It’s most likely only temporary though, of course. I think the ban should be lifted in under a couple of hours. If not, keep trying or check tomorrow.
