Some old Halo maps I'd like to see

There are a few maps I’d absolutely love seeing in halo 4. These maps are:

Sandbox. I would love to see a wide open space to allow for building a complex map. All the current ‘forge’ maps have many pre-designated features that detract from some of the goals a forger may wish to have.

Avalanche/ Sidewinder. If I remember correctly, Sidewinder was the name of the first map, and Avalanche was a remake. Either way, Avalanche from halo 3 was a fantastic map, and I can see in my head epic battles with mantises and such on this wonderful map.

On another note, I’d love to be able to see map boundaries. On maps such as Ravine, when I am trying to build off the side of the island, I would like to know where the boundary is so I may be able to plan ahead of time more thoroughly, and I wouldn’t have to remake parts of a map, or move a map because I hit an invisible wall.

I’d love to see Wetwork come back. Probably my favorite BTB map back in Halo 2.

Foundation
Warlock
Isolation
Epitaph
Midship
Avalanche
headlong, although it was remade for the Anniv. MM
Anchor9 from Reach map packs

I think Terminal could possibly work. You have to remember and account for AAs and Sprint.

Tbh i think almost every map i listed could work with a few tweaks to support the AA’s.

One thing I really hope for is forge world. It had so many interesting open spaces for forging, I spent most of my time in reach forging and hope for the same in this installment.

Sandbox looked amazing, the lighting, the sunset, looked beautiful imo

Foundry was pretty cool

would be cool to see sidewinder, death island, and just the gametype shotty snipers was pretty amazing, that should come back too :open_mouth:

Ragnarok (Valhalla) is fine with me. It may not be the same, but the gameplay is very similar.

Revive waterworks from halo 2 LD

Please no. That map has taken place in three games already, and the latest one was a crappy forge remake.

Bring back some other big team maps like Sandtrap and Relic. These maps have been so underrated when it comes to the demand of remakes for them, it’s always the demand of Blood Gulch which has gotten old.

I want to see Guardian and Blackout/Lockout remakes…those were two of my favorite maps of all time! Maybe even bring back Cold Storage…small map but I LOVED it for SWAT gametypes.
