You have an interesting view of this situation. You’re saying that Halo 5 not like COD, but what a modern shooter should be, yes? And that Halo 5 is taking bits and pieces of COD and applying them to Halo to give it a faster pace, while still feeling like a Halo game?

This must be one of the least thought through “I hate those mean haterz”-thread I have read in quite a while…
- “It’s Halo with the pace and feel of Cod” → so it’s not Halo anymore… pace and feel are two of the most important things about a (MP) game and CoD’s pace doesn’t work with Halos long kill times… all this sprint, stop, shot, sprint, stop, shot, etc. is poison to Halos gameplay
- “Remember Halo 4’s Legendary playlist” -> when exactly did they bring out the legendary playlist? I really don’t know, I was done wasting my time on this game before they managed to bring out this playlist
- “Yes, they changed Halo, but they are adapting this new Halo to what we want” → who is we? It doesn’t look like something I would want… and did “we” want what H4 was?

I have been playing Halo since 2001 in the good old CE days and I still love Halo 5 its nothing like COD
Pretty much every AAA FPS is having this same issue where each game is far too similar to the competition. It’s quickly becoming an insanely boring genre.

Personaly, I hated halo4 and how it turned out. I am fan of the bungie halo, but now I do think the approach with halo 5 is the correct one. Halo can’t stay the same forever or else it will dry up and ppl will loose their jobs. Halo needs to be new and refreshing without loosing sight of how the game is suppose to be and I feel halo 5 is capturing that balancewithout loosing the halo feel.

I’ve played halo 4 a lot, and barely played cod. And I hardly ran into many kids on 4, but plenty in cod.
Maybe your rank was low, and you got matched with kid’s. I’m not saying either game was only mostly kids, but the one’s I did run into on h4, mostly seemed young but more mature.
Most kids prefer a game that they can get kills in, and even halo 4 was more difficult than cod, because of the kill times, and halo skill.

Halo 5 will hopefully be a treat. I’m looking forward to a fast pace, competitive feel to the franchise. Which I feel Halo 4 vastly missed the mark on.

The problem is we really can’t. MCC still doesn’t work properly. Doesn’t surprise me. 343 can’t make a decent game , so why should I expect them to make decent games work?

If so , more power to you , enjoy H5. The rest of the multi-million player community from H:CE , H2 and H3 would like a proper Halo game. Something we have not had since 3.

Don’t forget the whole “we hired people who hate Halo” conundrum 343 pulled.
Now we also have Halo 5 with mechanics similar to Advanced Warfare or generc fps games. It won’t matter if they may have copied it or not, the casual consumers will probably think they did and bash the game for it since it came out a year after Advanced Warfare.
It is not out of the question to expect these comparisons; just as it is to say CoD mechanics will always be fresh in Halo because it’s Halo.

Btw , I am married with 3 kids. I am almost never alone or lonely.
