Some needed changes for firefight and xp earnings

Firefight fixes:
•Remove the blackeye skull from mythic firefight

•Remove the respawn time increase because its messed seeing the boss at low hp but losing because of respawn time or wasting a req weapon. Respawn time increase should only be for betrayals.

•I’m not sure if this was intentional but please remove the bosses ability to randomly regenerate portions of their health

As for the xp a simple boost to the fixed earning you get would make the grind to 152 at least fair nobody wants to play 50 game a day just so the xp bar to barely make half it bs to say the least. At most with a legendary xp boost and a win in mythic firefight is going to give about 20k to 24k and thats if you get a win. My current rank is 146 getting 20k a game is not getting me nowhere thats with the gold boost which I’m all out of. Honestly I just want to get max rank, get my reward and never play this game again.

The Blackeye skull alone puts the “Mythic” in Mythic firefight, so that’s not going away.

The respawn time increase is to penalize you for dying, especially in the later rounds. So that’s not going away either.

Watchers heal Promethean units, so if no one’s shooting them, they’ll heal all their units one by one, even bosses.

The grind to 152 is fair for everybody because everyone’s got to get the same amount of XP to get there. It only feels like you’re gaining nothing because you’re at the point of the grind where there’s millions of XP between ranks. There’s no shortcuts. You just have to play the game and pay less attention to the XP progression. Otherwise, you’re just going to psych yourself out looking at where your XP is after each and every game.

The second you try to go for a melee in mythic your dead in less than 2 secs it bs and you know it once you shield is gone theres no way to get it back unless you spend 3 req point on an overshield.

You die stupidly fast in that mode and even faster with the blackeye skull theres been so many times where I wasn’t able to get my req back because it despawned and times where we would’ve won if the bs penalty wasn’t there.

Yes dude I know watchers can heal their allies but as I said there are some instances where the boss will randomly heal portions of their health promethean and covenant regardless if theres watchers present and when they do spawn I make sure to go for them first to prevent them from healing.

If you’ve done the math it isn’t fair at all yes its fair that everyone needs the same amount of xp to get 152 thats obvious. As i said mythic firefight will give the most xp giving the player about 20k to 24k thats IF you use a gold xp boost and get a win. To show how unfair and poorly designed the xp earnings are lets say you need 1,000,000 xp in order to get that you’d need to play about 40 to 50 games of mythic firefights each game(goldxp/win) takes around 15 to 20mins thats like 15hrs of play time a day and thats just for a 1,000,000xp. Ranks 145 and up take around 2,000,000xp tell me is that not bs? People would like to play other games to you know and yes i know this whole grind is entirely optional but come on man that Infinite reward looks pretty cool lol.

Yes, that’s not BS, like you said you don’t have to get to 152…plenty of people did it before mythic or 2XP. They designed the max rank to be tons of playtime.

It’s not called a grind for nothing. On the plus side, you have almost another year to work on it and they never said you had to get 152 before Infinite comes out so you can keep working on it after it comes out.

Mythic was never designed to be fair. You need to play with a different style than you would a regular match. As for 152, if you like the reward, then keep playing the game. Reducing the amount of time/XP required only cheapens the reward for those who earned it properly.

I agree with you on the respawn timer being ridiculous and unnecessary. I want to play the game, not sit there watching a countdown. There are some matches where loading screens, round breaks, and respawn timers end up taking about the same or more time than actually playing the game. WZF is an afterthought and it should not have been.
