I’ve been watching a lot of Halo: 5 Guardians pre beta lately, and honestly all I hear during the gameplay is medal after medal being announced after everything you do. I’m not saying that we should get rid of a lot of medals, but some are overkill and unnecessary, and the announcer shouldnt have to announce almost every one.
Halo 3 and reach is a great example for this. The announcer sounds perfect, and the medals were very awarding and made you feel like a “badass”. Not being yelled at every time by the sarcastic announcer when you get a medal.
Besides this, I have no major complaints on the multiplayer yet, until I play it. Looks great so far 343! Please take this feedback in to consideration!

One thing is the “brawler” medal instead of beat down. That is really unnecessary in my opinion and beat down has been in the series for ever and sounds better imo. But I looked back and most of the medals are alright I guess. But seriously the announcer annoys me so much. They need to make it deeper and more assertive kinda like in halo 3 and reach. He sounds really sarcastic and tries to hard to sound intimadating.
I dont mind the new medals themselves, but i do agree that they need to be judicious with the ones that they actually announce iin-game. ad some of the AI callouts need to stop too. Right now though, the thing that is bugging me the absolute most is the stupid -Yoinking!- kill-cam music. its totally uneccessary and honestly very annoying.

The medal for simply getting a standard kill. That’s got to go. You shouldn’t get a medal for simply hosing down someone. Medals should mean you’ve done something special…
Honestly the thing that makes me the most annoyed is the announcer -__- Hopefully enough people do to because before Halo 4 no one ever felt annoyed by the announcer. Of they could at least tweak it to our liking.
