I’m looking foward to this game, but there are a few things I’m either worried about, or not sure about.
-Customization: Hopefully we get as many options as previous games.
-Gameplay: Even though I enjoy Halo 5, if they do continue with that gameplay with the movement. Put in a classic playlist like the Halo 3 playlist we had on Halo 5.
-Campaign: Don’t skimp out on the length.
-Req: I would prefer them gone but that might not happen. What would be good is if you could unlock reqs via challenges.(Get vehical kills with a rocket launcher to unlock the High Five)
-Release: I’ve been hearing rumors that this Halo will release in two parts. If this is true let me say one thing; that is by far the worst decision you could make 343.
Customization: I completely agree with you. I’d like to see Reach level customization return.
Gameplay: I want classic gameplay, but if they don’t want to do it I don’t want them to split the population with half–Yoinked!- playlist with Forge maps.
Campaign: For me campaign length is less important than campaign quality.
REQ Packs: I personally like how they function in Warzone.
Release: Frankie, and Tom French as well I believe, debunked this rumor.
Better customization is given. Not by amount of armor though, i rather have few good sets than a pile of worthless pieces of fertilizer.
The customization points matter more than armor sets themselves, that way the character you have can be much more personalized even with less armor sets.
Also, reskins should be just options in submenu of the armor, much like those electronic pieces on Halo: Reach:s helmets were. It just makes the armor menus much more organized and why are reskins separate unlockable anyways?
Also, emblems should be fully unlocked from start given its just a little marking on your armor and the little personalized image before you start collecting pieces you like for your armor.
As for the gameplay, I would think classic core gameplay mechanics would be the best for Halo with other variables coming from the battlefield itself. Equal starts but with whats on maps could change your playstyle ranging from vehicles to weapons to various different boosts.
Its not like every franchise needs to change their base formula to stay popular. One example could be counter strike.
I would at least hope for real classic playlists if nothing else, the population of the different playlists could show that what style is worth to keep and it would be by players choices themselves.
As for the campaign, i just hope they can fix the storylines that have been started and tell the story so that i wouldnt have to read some book or something like that to get that what is going on in the main storyline and its characters, or even known spin off game characters. Never forget Alpha Nine.
The games themselves should contain whatever information is needed from the story and the other media would have their own storylines or alternatively be there to provide more background information of the characters and/or flesh them out a bit.
And microtransactions are part of current gaming industry but i hope that one day they will burn.
Never really cared of the req system and hope to never see lootbox system in Halo again, there are so many more better options when thinking about the players.
Even the warzone was ruined with the reqs. It could have been much more balanced if there were unlimited amount of weapons and vehicles (maybe restricted uses by match) and each level would unlock set amount of those assets.so much like it is now but everyone would have chance and ability to use the same items as everyone else instead of some players having somekind of tools and other players having otherkinds of tools depending of how lucky they get and how much are they willing to spend on the game either by a long grind or throwing money on the game.

We shouldn’t need internet to play any game at all. I think Microsoft made a terrible decision to manage that feature

People only took it seriously because it was from the guy who leaked Halo Infinite’s name (sort of). He probably just had a lucky guess in retrospect.
Some things I am hoping for:
- More expansive and varied customization options
- A ranking system comprising a skill value (ie. Halo 3) and an amount played value (ie. Halo Reach)
- Removal of the REQ system and substituting it for a new system where you can buy armors, weapons, and vehicles using cR (everything is earned and not randomly given; additionally vehicles and weapons are only used in firefight, not competitive or casual; customization options can also be gained through commendations and other in-game feats)
- Removal of RP and EXP boosts
- Inclusion of a massive new firefight system similar to ODST and Reach, but better, with more matchmaking options and more enemy factions
- The inclusion of playable elites and flood in matchmaking
- Removal of spartan charge and ground pound
- Inclusion of thruster pack and sprint (but with a meter similar to Halo Reach for each; I also like evade as an option as well)
- Clamber I am kind of on the fence about
- Inclusion of more spree medals and the old voice of Jeff Steitzer (the announcer)
