Some H4 vehicles should be inspired from UT3

Recently ive picked up the game unreal tournament 3, and ive got to admit, that game takes all the overpowered things you could think of and makes the game balanced and fun, especially when it comes to vehicles.

I think it’d be a good idea for 343i to pull some inspiration from unreal tournament when they develop their vehicles. That is, making them look and feel extremely bad@#$ while still keeping them balanced. Some vehicles should look very menacing and strong. I’d love to see other players faces when i come striding into the battlefield on something that could only resemble a covie (or forunner) version of the darkwalker.

If you’d like to see what im talking about check out some UT3 vehicle gameplay, id recommend looking at some showcasing the darkwalker, reaper, mantas, and leviathan.

Yes. Balancing Vehicles should be done in less nooby ways. For example. Instead of nerfing the turret. Give it less auto aim and possibly high but max ammo level, with ammo pickups or stations, that could refill it. And a first person view. This would really balance heavy vehicles as the fov would be very limted.

Unreal sure got some fun vehicles, they got the ghost copy, a Tank, even A mortar/wraith vehicle. The “unique” ones must be the “super vehicles” such as the walking Necro robot or the super tanky-thing (not played UT3 for years, still a good game though). ^^
I do agree that vehicle balance in UE is pretty good since vehicles can deal good damage and ain’t to fragile, but can still easily be destroyed by good players. Further more UT is fast and agile, same goes for the vehicles, in a way that Halo lately has not been. You hunt fo the kills, not camp for the kills.

This is just my conjecture but one way to make vehicles more intimidating while not making them op is to give them a bigger hover height (Covies) and better stability (UNSC).

Also, I’m checking out UT3 right now. Sounds interesting!

Totally agree, I love UT3 - I hope they make a UT4! Pity that no one plays that game online anymore. But -Yoink- online when you have bots right?

God please yes. I would love it if Halo actually took ideas from other SCI-FI FPS for once, instead of trying to make everything “realistic” and slower in a Sci-fi shooter. They should also take ideas from Tribes: Ascend, man that game has the best non-hitscan weapons I have ever seen in a videogame! So much fun aiming somewhere other than the head for once and planning/predicting you’re shots. I feel that whole element of Sci-fi FPS is missing from Halo, there is no real-time projectile rounds or crazy looking alien projectile weapons, its all boring human hitcan weaponry =(

Where is Halo’s BFG, Flak Cannon, or Spinfusor!

Unreal tournament 4 would be a boss game, it would be good if people still played the online. I also think the maps were very creative. they gave us obsticles that we had to surpass in order to get to our objective, for instance, the tank in the middle of that harbor map gave an advantage to anyone who got to the middle first. or the teleporters leading to different parts of the world on the landari map. It would be great to see some excellent ideas like that for halo 4’s multiplayer
