Some Gametype Ideas

Generator Defense: Two round gametype; based on the version from Reach. Each round, one team has a generator to defend from the other team. The round ends when the time limit is up, or the generator is destroyed. The teams are swapped for the next round. The winning team is the one that destroys the enemy generator in the fastest time. If neither team fully destroys the generator, the winner is decided by most damage caused to the generator.

Gravemind: Flood/Infection variant. One player is the Flood form, and starts off weak, but won’t show up on the motion tracker . Around the map are “biomass” piles, which the Spartans can destroy. The Flood form can go to these piles and use them to increase thier player traits like speed and durability. The piles regenerate over time, but the Spartans can destroy them permanently. If the Spartans kill the Flood form, the Spartans win. If the Flood kills all the Spartans, it wins.

A 4v4 gametype where one team gets a few seconds or minutes to forge a defensive barrier and protect it(of course the pieces available would have to be balanced.) The other team has to break in to the base and secure it. One life per player per round. Kind of like one flag ctf and king of the hill put together. Believe me in my head this sounds way cooler. :wink:

Freeze Tag from Quake Live.

Round based gametype, two teams face off.
When you “kill” someone on the opposite team, they are frozen in place.
They can only be thawed (and thus respawned) by a Teammate standing next to them for a few seconds.*
The round ends when one of the teams has been completely frozen.

*If they fall out of the map they just respawn.
