Hey, first off I would like to say I love Halo 4. The negativity on this forum is increasing, and I’m here to explain to fixes that would make Halo 4 a better balanced multiplayer experience. Lets get started.

The Rifles
This is very noticeable. When your in a DMR vs BR battle and you have full shields, headshots with every bullet the DMR will win. Unless 343i wanted the BR only useful for taking down someone with a low shield this needs to be fixed. A easy fix for this is making the DMR a 6 shot instead of 5. It only fires one bullet at a time while the BR fires three. Obviously the BR should win.
The other two, Lightrife and Carbine. Carbine is only good for kill sweeping (killing someone with no shield). It shoots the fastest out of all of the guns yet it takes 8 bullets in the head to kill someone with it. This is another easy fix. Make the Carbine 7 bullets to the head for a kill so it actually stands a chance against the other rifles. The lightrifle is good, don’t poke at it. -
Weapon despawns
This is at times annoying and unnecessary for both spartan ops and war games. Lets say your playing on ragnrok, about to laser a mantis and then boom, you got sniped. When you go over to reclaim you weapon its gone for no apparent reason and the mantis dominates your team. Now lets say your playing Spartan Ops on the first mission for episode 1. You have a rocket launcher and a hunter kills you. When you go to reclaim your rocket launcher its gone and the only way to take out the hunters is using your custom loadouts. It’s going to be hell doing this on hard difficulties. Unless 343i wanted to make you use your custom loadouts for a balanced multiplayer which can be at times fair in multiplayer but hell in spartan ops then this needs to be fixed. -
Instant respawns
This needs to be taken away from the rest of the objective playlists. It is optional in BtB and Infinity slayer so this is okay. -
Oddball
Decrease the ball carrier speed by 5-10%. Lets say your team is going after the ball carrier. You find him but he runs away leaving his team behind to defend him. After you get killed by the ball carriers team or defeat them the ball carrier is all the way on the other side of the map. This is why the speed for the oddball carriers speed needs to be decreased. There should also be penalties for throwing the ball off the map. -
Join in progress
Make this optional in regicide and future FFA playlist. Reason being you have no chance of winning when you join a game in progress. -
The Maps
I have no problem with the maps they have now. Although they don’t have a lot of close quarter maps this can be a easy fix. There are three forge worlds, right? Add more maps using not just one like in reach but instead all 3.
These are my suggestions for Halo 4. Hope you will consider them. Also be aware this is just the very beginning of Halo 4. More will come.
