Hey guys, i thought of a pretty cool way to innovate and change around invasion!
Works like Invasion but 8v8, Blue Team start out inside the UNSC infinity dropping station which is in Orbit, while Red Team prepare defenses on the ground, red team has to protect an ancient forerunner artifact which must not be captured by the enemy (much like invasions core)
Red team have 1-2 minutes to set up power generators, prepare formations and vehicles ready for the attack.
Blue team have to move up through red teams defenses capture the artifact and once the player has hold of it a pelican will fly into a nearby area and you have to walk there and drop it off, Blue team, for the first minute or so are in orbit above the planet, blue team are preparing weapons and loadouts ready for the drop, when the signal is given all Spartans rush to the Drop pods, and drop from space into the battle, players can respawn either in the infinity and drop back into battle(which will have a 1-2 minute kill boundary to prevent AFKers) OR spawn on the ground (spawning on the ground is only enabled after the initial drop)
So it’s a mixture of Battlefields rush, and Reach’s Invasion with a nice Orbit to ground drop pod action! =D what do you guys think? feel free to add ideas or change some around.
Good idea! I hope they do it, and impliment it into all the big maps, unlike Reach where they made maps specifically for Invasion
The map won’t completely change, but there will be a spot for the artifact and defenses, and it would have the ship overhead. So the map wouldn’t change much, but still work for Invasion.
The opening from Halo 3 ODST was so cool i thought they should make it part of a gametype 
I would personally love this.
Dynamic (I don’t know a better word) gameplay or… more grand gameplay needs to be done for Invasion. Going in via drop pods is LONG overdue!

Haha yeah, you deliver the artifact and everyone needs to get on board, but it can fly away without some people, so they’re left stranded, it would be hilarious if your friend was screaming “WAAIIIT” and you just see him running in the distance and as soon as he gets close it flies off =D

Yeah. My idea was your entire team gets teleported to the vehicle, but your idea is waaaaaay funnier.

That’s a great idea. Never tried out Invasion but I love Rush in BF3. It would be awesome to have this mode in Halo 4.
