Hey 343i, I’ve been loving the Halo 5 beta. Appreciate the work you’ve been doing to fix MCC too. This latest beta patch tho, the matchmaking has become less reliable for me. The long waits while “searching for players” are still there, I’m sure you’re aware, but tonight I’ve had several matches find an eighth player, load for thirty seconds, and then dump me back to the menu. I only got to play two matches in an hour. The third and last match straight up kicked me out of a round of Slayer just two or three minutes in. This hasn’t happened before so I wanted to make a note for you guys. Thanks.

It’s a beta. And a very early one, at that. Bugs and glitches are virtually assured.
Instead of “taking the trash out,” let’s all leave some constructive, non-violent criticism. You know, like grown ups.

I’ve had consistent issues throughout the beta, but I’ve still enjoyed it.
Somehow it’s way worse today. More often than not, the matchmaking collapses and I’m kicked back to the main menu. This is definitely the worst performance day for the beta so far. Disappointing, but the gameplay is still top notch. If 343 can tidy up the matchmaking, Halo 5 will be sublime.

I hope the community at large can rise above the howling rabble and build some more positive rapport with the 343 dev crew.
343, industry critics, new players and Halo vets, we’re all here for the love of the game, and Halo 5 isn’t perfect but looks, feels, and plays outstanding. We all have valid opinions that can be expressed in a constructive way. Nothing is accomplished by teenagers stamping their little feet and cussing out the developer whose game they keep coming back to.
When was the last patch? I remember that there was an update on Sunday and that the game seemed to work fine.
Either way, I’m glad that you’ve started a mature and constructive discussion on the matter! Hope we can get this resolved in a couple of days before the Beta ends.
Still pretty frustrated with the matchmaking on consecutive matches. Jumping in from the main menu directly into a playlist is reliable for finding and starting a match within ~15 seconds, but staying in the group for a follow-up match waiting for even one or two players can take a full five minutes, or longer. That’s if it finds enough players at all without crashing and sending me back to the menu.
This smells a little too Master Chief Collection-y for my taste, and with a couple days to go - hey, while I was typing this sentence, I got booted from another consecutive match after finding an eighth player - I’m worried.
