Solutions to stat padders in Objective games?

My theory is that since people get more credits for longer games, why doesn’t 343 just reverse that. Meaning if you capture the flag 3 times in 5 minutes and win, you’d earn more credits than if you captured it in 15 minutes. This would discourage people just playing for kills for the entire time, as they wouldn’t earn as many credits. I know that there are certain groups of super high ranks who no life the game and don’t care about credits, but this applies to the lower ranks who just sit back and camp for kills. People wouldn’t lose credits or have them subtrated from their overall amount, they just wouldn’t earn as much for game completion. Ex: Currently, i’m earning about 3k-4k for game completion. So if i play a 15 minute objective game, then i’d get 3k-4k for game completion. And if i played a 5 minute one, i’d get 1k. With my solution, if i played a 15 minute game, then i’d only earn 1.5k-2k for game completion. However, if I played a 5 minute game, i’d earn 3k-4k for game completion. Keep in mind, this would only be in objective gametypes. This applies to invasion, too…

OR

People with 10 seconds or more of objective time should be rewarded. Not much, but still some. Like maybe 500 or 1k cR. This would vary depending on whether their team won or not. Also applies to invasion…

OR

People who capture the flag, arm the bomb, capture the territory, etc should get more cR.

So what do you guys/girls/elites think?

There is no solution to stat padders. Your only hope is to get good enough so that people can’t pad on you.

It was bad enough in Halo 3 getting betrayed just so that they can score the Flag point right before you do.

Really, better balancing the game and better implementing Spawning will prevent Stat padders. Even adding 3 seconds of damage resistance on spawn would be better.

Its not about cR, its about stats. Hence the statpadders

> Meaning if you capture the flag 3 times in 5 minutes and win, you’d earn more credits than if you captured it in 15 minutes.

Implying full parties who spawn-kill care about credits.

lol

It’s not even necessarily that. I play mostly Team Objective. Me and (most of) my friends are Inheritors. I’m sorry, but when it takes 5 minutes to find a game, we don’t want a game to end consistantly in less time than it took to find it.

We can play 5 games, and 4 of them people quit right off the bat and the game is over in the first couple minutes. The 5th game, everyone stays, so of course we’re not gonna try and end it. We want to play, but people get discouraged and quit, so when we find people who don’t quit, we play it out…the full time limit.

Sorry, that’s just how it is.

Everyone quits because you do that. No one is going to sit around in a Objective playlist (made for completing the objective) to just turn into a slayer match. Why are you even playing objective in the first place, squad dlc is 5-6 players? Essentially what you are doing is that. I bet team objective wouldn’t be so empty and hard to find players either if 343 didn’t title update it. I love the new 10 man objective, but title update completely killed it. We rarely play anymore since DMR is a auto-spawn.

Not sure why after proof the majority picks regular not TU they decided to implement TU in almost everything.

I spawnkill without doing the objective all the time, and i couldnt care less about credits.

This, its so boring when a game ends and everyone only has single digit kills.

Vanilla Reach is terrible. The majority of those who prefer it had never played a Halo game prior to Reach.

Adapt.

I would prefer that last thing you said. The more kills you get, the more cR, not a matter of time. If you play Grifball and only do it to arm the bomb, and the match is over in about 5 min, then you get low cR. If you drag it out and cause carnage only to arm the bomb at the last minute, then you get more.

I’ve played halo religiously since Halo 2 so ya I’m giving my opinion across every series I’ve played.

Make objective medals worth more, and don’t track K/D in objective games.

> Make objective medals worth more, and don’t track K/D in objective games.

Haha that would work but imagine how empty the playlist would be if people can’t get their cheap kills vs people trying to run the flag :P.

I’ve been thinking this over for more than two years. There’s one way to fix this problem and make objectives both fair and fun…

Add big win bonuses and remove K/D from objectives altogether. That’s it. FIXED.

I do admit that last night I ran two flags on Ridgeline then just killed the Hell out of the other team for the remainder of the time, though. LMAO!

> don’t track K/D in objective games.

I really hope you’re joking…

> > don’t track K/D in objective games.

I doubt it and Kronik said the same thing. KD is useless in Halo anyway, there’s no benefit from a higher kd or lower kd. Really doesn’t make a shred of difference.
