Solution for the split multiplayer has caused

So it’s obvious that halo 5s multiplayer has caused division among the community. Some argue that the choice to change the aiming system, smaller radar etc. are for the better and others (myself included) are not happy or comfortable with these core mechanics being tinkered with. But the solution is simple and has already been applied to a previous halo game: Reach.

In Reach a title update was applied and separate playlists were created, some using “vanilla reach” settings and some with the TU settings applied. This gave players the option to play on the settings that they preferred and therefore could enjoy their halo experience more. The argument against this is that it split the population over more playlists as a result. But it’s clear the population is already split.

If the same logic was applied to halo 5 we could have arena playlists as they are for “pros” and competitive players who are quite happy with how the game plays as is. Then we could have duplicate playlists with settings more akin to what we had in the beta; the beta aiming system and a larger (25m) radius for the motion sensor. Again, this would allow players to play whatever settings they prefer instead of being forced to play with either uncomfortable mechanics which they don’t like or noob friendly ones. This also means that more “competitive” players who like the current settings could freely play against each other without us lowly casuals polluting their playlist and less competitive players can play to their skill level and lose the frustration using the current settings.

I believe this will make for a more entertaining and fun experience for both groups without compromising the integrity of what 343i are trying to do with the pro circuit. And after all having fun is what’s important in a game. That’s why we bought it and want to play it. For fun, on whatever level, casual or competitive. Isn’t it?

Sorry for the bump mods but it’s getting lost in a sea of complaints
