Solution for Post-game Carnage Crash

I had the post game carnage crash issue where if you press Y and look at the postgame carnage, the game would freeze and crash to dashboard. What i did to solve it was:

  • Go to dashboard, press the menu button and quit out of halo.- Press the menu button on Halo MCC and select “Manage Game”- Select the save data on the right hand side and and delete from console NOT DELETE EVERYWHERE! If you select delete everywhere, say bye to your campaign progress.- Once that is done, go to the xbox settings and click on Power and Startup. Ensure that it is NOT set for instant-on, and set it for energy savings.- Use the menu and turn off your xbox. Once your xbox is off, pull the power from the power brick for around 10 seconds.- Plug the power back in and start your xbox and halo mcc. It should pull your saved data from xbox live.

No problem. I also posted it in the general forum and it seems it definitely makes the game more stable and eliminates the crashing. Although these issues shouldn’t have taken this long to fix, we’re almost at the Halo we deserve.

However even if it works, if we need to be doing this every time we want to play the game, then it’s more of a band-aid than a solution.
