Solution for 343 introduced see through Shotgun glitch

There’s no getting away from the fact that this glitch is downright ugly. It wasn’t there before and frankly it’s a shame now

It then occured to me that this wont actually be a problem after all. And here’s how. Iv’e often wondered why the same clueless comment gets offered up here time and time again, but here it has some real worth i think. Just prior to the point that the Shotgun reaches it’s highest part of animation and becomes exposed, it’s here you simply jump back to classic mode. Once the switch has taken place and at which point you have also left a couple hundreds of seconds wait time, you then jump back again to anniversary mode. The trick itself if done right basically removes any worry now of there being a gun that likes you to look up it’s -Yoink-. Practical and fun

Another option which some may favour is to have a piece of card placed aready at the bottom right corner just enough to cover the guilty spot. Taking this further you could either draw in some fancy art onto your card like a shotgun perhaps or maybe even take a photo of an actual shotgun and use that as the replacement texture if you will for this section of the screen. It’s already been pointed out on these forums that people will unlikely notice a missing part to a weapon when they’re in the thick of action so imagine how realistic it’s going to look like now. Taking it one more step than that and the possibilities start becoming endless- we’re talking now of replacing what is there on screen with ultra realistic assets, bringing new meaning to the term photo realism. Just make sure you have a lot of card and possibly a couple of friends to assist in the moving about of these

I’m probably not the only one on here that has suggestions either

Do I sense a little a lot of sarcasm here?

just doing my bit to help the community

LOL I posted something about this before but this was way more original and full of win.

It’s on people’s minds then. It’s not like we’re going to find any of this stuff out from 343 themselves

You know, I have yet to notice this “huge glaring issue.” Even with it pointed out, I just don’t see it.

Great idea OP!

I’m going with a somewhat more practical solution: I’m not going to use the shotgun at all. Even on Legendary.

Same

I don’t know what you two are trying to prove other than that you’re blind.

We’re not trying to prove anything. Give me a link to the issue occurring and I’ll see if I can see it. Up until now I haven’t seen it anywhere.

It’s good you don’t see it then, many of us do. It’s not something you can ignore once you are aware of it. Try imagining you’ve just bought a Ferrari say and your love of this new Ferrari knows no bounds. You then notice you are missing a small section of the dash in front of you. It wont get in the way of your actual driving of course but will likely bother you. At which point somebody comes along and says to stop moaning about nothing

I like when people mention they can’t see something almost as if to say that it’s not true or a mountain out of a mole hill . Actually quite scary what people don’t notice and makes you wonder what else people are oblivious to

hmm an interesting challenge in itself that one

I honestly wasn’t trying to make an issue out of it, I’m just genuinely curious. Maybe I haven’t watched the right vids or something but I’ve never noticed it once.

Ok here is the link :

Skip to 1:08 and look to the bottom right corner in between shots.

Fair enough sorry. It honestly is better you don’t notice though

Oh, I see it now. Yeah I can see how that might bother some people but when I don’t look at that exact spot, I don’t notice it at all so I’m pretty sure it wont bother me in the final game. Still, I hope it’s been fixed for you guys.

I honestly dont see how thats an issue, the same thing happend back in CE also.

I don’t know what version you played then as it most certainly does not do that in the original game. Even in the video where classic mode and shotgun shown demonstrates this perfectly enough. It’s a new glitch

Are you a 343 employee by any chance?

No I am not, and even if I was, I woudnt want to tell anyone. And it did quiet so in the xbox version.
