So I was combing the web for a solution. And Halo Support on Twitter had this fix that also were the same fix for me trying to play Jurassic World 2 the first time. Sry cant post link. But find a dude with swedish flag by his twitter name he repeatedly called out this solution, so all credits to him!
Seems to be a Nordic region issue!
So to any fellow neighbours in the north.
Go to your xbox language and time settings. Set it to English UK. No need to change your region country.
Restart console
Start the HI mp beta again. It will download a small English language pack
Then the play buttons will be BLUE and Academy menu texts white and good to go!
Now! Stop! Press Xbox button on controller and change your language BACK to native language again. Quit the game and restart. It should stay and NOW good to go
This fixed it for me aswell! I just had to switch the language from norwegian to English and not the time tho.
After the restart i got the same update and everything worked for me
I noticed that the norwegian game client was 18.00gb and after the english update it was at 17.9gb. (on Series S). So im guessing this has something to do with norwegian language (prob all scandinavian) client not authenticating with the server without the English files installed.^
Anyways, i had been searching for a solution since release yesterday suuuper frustrated untill i found your post. So major thanks to you Grimmulv369!
Yeah seems its all us Scandinavians having this problem stretch it to the whole Nordics ( and Baltics ), since there was someone from Finland having this issue too. Glad I could help fella, rock on!
