So, why does one need the other? Why do you need a gold membership to play this game mode solo? Last I checked gold was required for playing game modes with other people, not with yourself. Is this not the same logic as requiring gold for the main campaign? Leave your thoughts, unless they include spinning into a blind hate fueled frenzy in defense of 343.
Spartan Ops is technically DLC (well, the second half of the season was), and those usually require Gold accounts.

No they don’t. I can be on a silver account and purchase any DLC I want. I can then play it offline.
