Social playlists should not have a hidden rank

The issue isn’t that I want to “slay noobs” but rather, I want to be able to play games with my friends. I have played halo a lot over the past 7 or so years, but my friends have not. I convinced them to get Halo 5 (btw you’re welcome 343, I single-handedly got 8 people to purchase your game) so that we could all play together, which we do, but we often get paired against teams that overall have a much higher skill level than our team. My friends are either silver/gold rank, but when they play with me, we play against all platinum, diamond, and onyx players. I would like some playlists where I can play with my friends and they actually have a chance against the enemy as well (at least, once in a while). This is what social playlists should be about.

Does anyone else run into this issue?

They should make it casual friendly.
Get to social and it’s the same as competitive.
(Big parties = communication =competitive)

Who said there was a hidden rank in social playlists? Is there proof of this?

Invisible skill matching has been a thing before now. It’s not like it’s a new thing.

I’m pretty sure Reach used it, I distinctly remember it being detailed in one of the updates at some point, as well. (though I’d rather not go wade through years of dust to locate where)

Casual play in Halo has always been called social. Since at least Halo 3.

Oddly enough I get REQd more in socials than competitives. I do rank between plat and diamond so unless most of the community is above that then I feel like there is a “rank”. Most games I can get KD 0.8-4.5 and in socials I get 0.2-1.1 So to me I do feel like the matching who with who is odd.
