That is some pretty great news.
Are you kidding me? This is huge news and it’s not on the waypoint forums. It really is true all of us are just wasting out time on here, the actual game devs are on forums like teambeyond whatever the hell that is.
There have been nothing but posts like the one that dev responded to and if they just did that on thier own bloody site it would stem the tide of a ton of wasted threads and posts, and also validate coming to these forums…smh…

Thats was different. Reachs engine made it difficult to add armor.

Awesome. Glad they’re responding to the lack of variety, which is undoubtedly Halo 5’s greatest weakness right now. Hoping it’ll be part of December’s update.

The lack of social is why I have not played Halo 5 in weeks.
I am not bad at halo, look at my service record…
my problem is that I don’t enjoy super-competitive gameplay, there’s no fun everyone just seems mad all the time, and close-intense games are just stressful to me.
This is how I would do it:
Ranked Playlists earn slightly more XP/RP per game along with special ranked challenges and rewards (play 5 games of ? to get 1k RP), also I think it would be cool if you got bonus RP for going up ranks, and you should earn more RP at higher ranks to encourage people to improve.
Social Playlists: slightly less xp/rp earned per game, no skill-based matchmaking, more variety in playlists (crazy gametypes / maps) etc.
I truly miss the Halo 3 days where your rank was a combination of XP overall, and skill in ranked playlists.
(Example, you couldn’t be a General without having the highest rank in a playlist (50) AND you also needed to have won 600 games in social or ranked which actually gave people motivation to play social)

Agreed, If you’ve missed the constant angry threads of disappointment I’m honestly am surprised. See them almost everyday and half the time it’s about the same stuff they already know needs to be fixed, others… Well not so much.

Toxic? I understand but… Toxic? Destiny community is toxic. Lol
Cool, I’d love to play a game while not worrying about winning or losing. I like playing warzone because I can play with reckless abandon (well, to a point) so I can’t wait for social playlists, it’s something that’s been missing for me from Halo 5!

Not really. Almost every gaming forum is filled with ridiculous complaints and trolling. This forum is tame in comparison, because the moderators actually do their jobs. It’s not like 343 has to respond to every individual post, just a few more a couple of times a week would be nice.

This will be a great addition for the casual players and something that I feel should’ve been available at launch. But, as long as they are working on it I’m good.
I like to play for fun and not have to worry about a loss all the time. I’ll have to see how competitive ranked BTB will be. Can’t wait for that and a social BTB.
This is good news however I will wait until it’s actually implemented to comment more.
343 need to listen to the community so they can effectively and efficiently implement the social playlists.
