Note: Everything in this topic is just my OPINION. I realize my idea may not be the best for RANKED playlists and so this topic is more about SOCIAL playlists.
Back in Halo 3 we had a main ranks and a playlist ranks. Basically your main rank could be a Major, but one of your playlist ranks (i.e. Social Slayer) could be a Corporal. Now I don’t like the idea of individual playlist ranks. They didn’t feel as rewarding as obtaining a main rank. If Ranked and Social playlists return, then I would like an OVERALL playlist rank. I’m asking for no subdivisions like how Halo 3 worked. So the amount of time I spend playing in Social Playlists would add up to a main Social Rank (Social Slayer + Big Team Battle + Action Sack = Main Social Rank). You see what I’m getting at?
I’m not saying this needs to be used because there is probably a better solution. Whatever 343i goes with, I’ll accept it and just play the game, but I would like to feel more rewarded while I’m playing casually. My idea, if it were used, would in no way affect Ranked playlists, just Social. Feel free to leave your ideas and give feedback.
Although I’m sure 343i can probably come up with a better solution than the one I stated.
