Social playlist i thought was for casual play

So far about every 3rd team i play against has a full setup with power weapons and has map movement to grab power ups the instant they spawn in. Doesnt sound very social

So you just want to play easy games that you can do the stomping in?

Exactly. Apparently on social you’re supposed to try to lose. That’s the only way to appease people.

“If youre better than me, youre a tryhard. If youre worse than me, you are a noob.” Thats prettymuch this community in a nutshell. I have no issues with btb. If im getting stomped it doesnt bother me. I still find a way to have fun.

It sucks doesn’t it! I use social as a warm up so that the first game I go into isn’t a diamond level arena match, unfortunately most the people in social are better than that anyway so it’s pointless.

I don’t know what you expected?

Most people think that social is some personal stomping playlist where they can just kill low-skilled players over and over. That’s not how it works and that’s not how it was back in previous games.

You want easy games and you’ll get those on occasion, but don’t get upset when you match someone of equal skill or someone who is better than you.

Casual play is for custom games, get some people together and go start your own game.

I completely agree with you, but social is definitely much harder these days. My guess is that on the 5th sequel the only people left are the hardcore fans, most of which are noob stompers! I’d say there was a 90% chance I’d be MVP in Halo 3 social where as now I can’t even guarantee a positive K/D. I’m not complaining, it’s a silly thing to complain about, but I do think this social is much harder than previous ones.

Also remember that back in the day you could only play social with guest accounts logged in. Which usually was easy kills because of that.

Up until recently, it was a lot harder because it was essentially ranked without a visible rank.

I can’t speak for Social Slayer because I haven’t played many games but BTB has become a lot more akin to social BTB in Halo 3/Reach - very relaxed games with a small chance of running into decent players. Whenever that does happen, it’s a nice change of pace.

He wants to play games were he can sit in a recliner and shot some spartans and maybe win a game or two.

I don’t get why people would think otherwise.

I’m not sure what people were expecting. Social Slayer is just another version of Slayer. Social playlists are no “easier” than standard ranked playlists. Yet, for some reason, people feel the need to advocate for them…and then complain that the very same social playlists they asked for have people better than them. I just don’t get it.

What’s wrong with that? That sounds pretty fun to me. If I’m playing socially, I still want to win. Its not my fault that the other team can’t get their act together.
