It confirmed many things coming in the February update that I don’t think people are quite aware of at the moment.
A permanent social playlist is coming next week for Social CTF. They are using this as a “test bed” for more social playlists. They said there will definitely be more coming too.
They also confirmed that the colour palette for your spartan is nearly doubling from 32 colours to 60. It will include browns, more greens and oranges and black.
We are also no longer being restricted by colour presets for emblems and instead they will use simple primary and secondary and tertiary options (like previous Halo games). I’m not sure if they are removing colour harmonies or keeping them.
Along with all this we are getting assault, fiesta and grifball!
They are also having UI improvements and fixing the issue with de-sync and player warping.
As a fan of the franchise I know I have made several disgruntled posts on the forums about lack of customization and no social playlists and I am very grateful that 343 is actually taking the time to look at the forums to see what the community really wants and what it is that the game needs.
I made a thread about how we are unable to use primary and secondary colours as we please for emblems and just a week later 343 responds saying that they are removing the restrictions we have had prior.
I hope that people know that 343 really does see our complaints and that they are trying to do their best to improve the game at every update.
Remember that it is people on the forums that are always posting and complaining that 343 will see and get ideas and inspiration from. Many people see it as whining but really those people just want the game to get better and better so let’s keep pushing for what we want…eventually we will get it.
