Surprisingly, the social gamemode is designed for a more social and laid back experience. The AR is easier to use (with all the aim assist issues) and the pistol is also pretty fun to use.
The combination of these weapons prevents players from drilling you halfway across the map due to the lack of range and leads to more interesting interactions. It allows for newer players who aren’t as experienced with aiming to stand a chance in the game, whilst also encouraging them to pick up new weapons and learn the game.
Also stop complaining about teammates. Don’t like your teammates performance? You’re playing social and loading in solo. Group up with some people using group posts, or make a post yourself. Or why don’t you actually follow your teammates around and help them rather than probably going off on your own and complaining when your team loses a 3v4.
Again, if you want BR’s then go into ranked since that has BR starts.
I would 200% still be asking for it as a starting weapon in social game modes if they made it require more skill to use. Since I can actually use it. I just happen to be abuse this current BR and hit 75-77% accuracy games if I actually think about my shots this BR in particular aims itself, you just need to pull the trigger.
They could nerf it so that I had to TRY to hit 50% of my shots as intended, and I’d still be begging for a social BR start.
You clearly don’t understand how badly the AR is loathed by players like me if you think I wouldn’t opt for the BR even if it was the under dog weapon and the AR was more powerful. I would still pick up the BR. The AR is not enjoyable in any way shape or form. It’s as bad as the needler imo.
If your fan of something that’s cool but the weapons in Halo should be based off the Halo Lore and not this dumb thinking of making humanity armory dominating everything else. If that was the case then people wouldn’t be asking for BR Starts anymore.
It’s not dumb, in reference to Halo Infinite specifically, when you consider that based on the game lore (spoken by 343 themselves) the entirety of the multiplayer experience is a spartan v spartan simulation that takes place entirely within UNSC facilities. The Covenant/Banished maps, aren’t real locations they’re AI generated based on UNSC knowledge/experience inside said simulation.
With the BR and AR being the 2 primary weapons the UNSC issues to non-specialized units (snipers, heavies etc) it makes sense to have BR and AR starts.
It doesn’t make sense to have BR starts be exclusively ranked when traditionally they haven’t been.
Social Slayer was always a 50/50 chance of AR or BR. Which it currently is. That’s fine. MCC Introduced “Precision Slayer” which is where we grew accustomned to being able to opt out of AR starts all together.
Before that, BTB was BR start due to the scale of the maps. Which makes sense. Why give me an AR when I need to be within 15 feet of someone to do any amount of damage, accurately, on maps where 90% of the time you’re hardly within 50 feet of enemies. Who have vehicles at their disposal no less… What universe does that AR start make sense in?
And that’s not including Halo Reach and Halo 4 (possibly even Halo 5, I didn’t touch Halo 5 so I can’t say how it was in Halo 5) where loadouts were a thing, and you could choose AR, BR or DMR. Or the Covenant/Promethean couterparts to the UNSC weapons.
The BR start has been part of social Halo since Halo 2. Whether it was through a dedicated playlist for people who preferred it or later through loadouts. I don’t understand why people are suddenly acting like the BR should be ranked exclusive.
Are you people new? Do you just lose to the BR a lot and are mad about it? What is it that justified this mindset of BR has no business in social and doesn’t merit a playlist?
If it was base off the Halo Lore or even just plain logic the UNSC Armory would be the weakest out of the three. The Covenant Technology is 1,000 years ahead of the UNSC and the Forerunners are over 100,000 years ahead of the UNSC and the Covenant. So there’s no way in the slightest bit any UNSC weapons would be stronger than the others.
None of what you just said is relevant. The UNSC doesn’t dispense covenant and forerunner weapons to their troops. What’s strongest isn’t part of the discussion. It’s whether or not the BR start playlists should be exclusive to ranked play, to which the answer is no. It never was and shouldn’t be now.
You’re just desperate to be right about something now. Conversation is over.
So what your saying is strong weapon starts should be in Social Matchmaking so people that are good can rain death on those that suck. Mmm sounds toxic to me and it doesn’t encourage people to play if they are always dying constantly from those that are better than them with certain weapons. At least with weak starts it gives everyone a chance to use whatever weapon they to and find new ways to outwit there enemy.
Sounds perfectly logical and fair when someone better wins agains something worse…
Like I said once, all SBMM does is creates waves of noobs who don’t want to get better, to improve, claiming “they just want to chill”, but at the same time they do want to perform well, it’s nothing but hypocrisy 101. Because you can chill while watching kill cam and waiting for respawns, no?
